I lost my student status

Hi everyone. I came to Canada in 2018. I was on academic suspension in December due to medical illness. In 2019 I got my visa extended and went to India for my knee surgery. I came back and college dint give me re admission. I applied for different college and I got an offer letter but it was conditional.I have applied for study permit extension in 2020 and I never heard back from them due to Covid. Today I got refusal. Since then I haven’t studied cause college never gave me admission. I’m currently out of status from today. How can I restore and I work part time only that too 7 hours!! Can I continue working or should I stop. Please help me asap. Thanks

You are out of status and can't work. Legally you had to stop working as soon as you stopped attending school. So if you continued working while not attending school, you have been working illegally for all of this time.

I agree with the recommendation above. You should speak with an immigration lawyer.

Your situation is pretty complex and there isn't a clear / easy path for you.

Based on the information you provided in your original post, it sounds like you've been working illegally in Canada for a couple of years. That's very problematic. You didn't provide the full text of your refusal letter and I don't know what it said in terms of when you lost status in Canada and if restoration is possible. However even if restoration is feasible, it's going to be difficult to be approved since you violated the terms of your visa through working illegally and given how long it has been since you attended school.
