Visitor visa for minor baby. Applied from India
Application submitted:10th June 2022
Biometrics:NA
Background check:NA

I called IRCC and they said pending with Delhi.
Is there any way to contact them for faster processing.
Kindly suggest.
All new portal files are mostly handled in Ottawa although if you call IRCC they will tell it is with India. Completely misleading [ saying this from personal exp with visas on the new portal for my family]

You can raise a webform but no way to expedite. Just have to wait and count on luck.

Do you know if you submit a web form to a visa office outside of Canada about an application, does Ottawa get it too? I submitted an application for my mom in Brazil and decided to supply more documents through the webforms. I sent it to the São Paulo visa office assuming they were processing it. Now I'm worried I should have sent it to Ottawa IRCC if they're processing most portal applications.

You will have to submit a case specific inquiry and send an inside Canada webform

Given how random they are, people raise webforms for their home country and ottawa to play it safe.

Note : IRCC will not even acknowledge that sadly

Thanks for the reply, that is so frustrating! I guess I better send it again using the inside Canada webform. They say that for changing contact info it would be updated in 5 business days. If the webform doesn't have any questions and is just submitting additional documents, do you think that is also the timeline for adding documents to the application?

Adding documents to a file using a webform usually comes back with a response saying we received xxxx.pdf etc and they list the files you have submitted and an agent writes back saying we have shared it with the visa office that is working on your file

I received such an update after 6 months for my family !!

However for some people that I know, this response came in a few weeks too

it is so random unfortunately

Raise the webform and do an MP inquiry and check to see if they can put in a word to expedite. Some MP's do it though. Not that iRCC cares but it is worth a shot in my opinion

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Applied visitor visa for my sibling. Below is the timeline:
Application submitted: June 15 2022
Biometrics: 4 July 2021

waiting for them to start the review process
Hello, I am in the process of submitting visitor visa application for my sister and her family (husband and kid). Did you apply through the new portal? if yes, I have a few questions and if you can help me.

- The system is giving asking to upload documents individually for 3 applications, so do upload the same documents or do I separate them out like bank statements etc. I prepared one package for the family initially.
- Do I need to write 3 different LOI or just one and upload the same in each application?
- Do i need to get my LOI notarized?
- Sibling proof of relationship - what documents should be uploaded here?

Thanks

Can someone guide on applying for canada visitor visa for parents.
What are all the documents needed?
I know the visitor visa is given for a max stay of 6 months in a single entry, but would it be valid for multiple entries? If so for how many years is the visitor visa provided?
Can someone help with this?

Hello,

if you want to apply visitor visa for your parents the you would need followings:
1. Invitation letter
2. Purpose of travel
3. Your parents ties to their home country - so that they return back eg:- job, assets, pension, business, family, etc.
4. Evaluation of the property
5. Your parent’s Bank statements for the last 6 months- proof of funds
6. Proof of your relationship with them
7. Income tax returns if any exists
8. Itinerary
It depends on the visa officer to give visa for any specific period of time. It could be for a month, 3 months, year or for 10 years. Usually, it is for 10 years with multiple entries. (Also depends on the validity of your passport)
9. Your bank statements
10. Your salary slips- incase you are supporting them
11. Your job letter..
12. Your NOA for last 3 years- if your are financially supporting them

Hope this helps
