Any recommendations on which banks to open an account with upon landing? I was looking at RBC, TD Bank & Scotiabank. Which bank can I get the best initial credit card to begin building some credit history?
Thanks in advance!
Each province will be different ;) depending on the amount of ATMs they have there and the amount of branche. You have to do research and see. Generally TD, Scotiabank are one of the best I think.
Found TD to be good. They have good services and offers as well.

I am all in favor of the abortion ban, for the simple reason of not making them common practice, like removing a tooth from a dentist. The ban alone will hinder a lot of those type of abortions. We have to differentiate somehow from the animals and maybe learn to "pull it out".

Having said that, there are a lot of legal ways for women to abort, if the conditions are met, like the fetus is not healthy, the mother is not psychologically able to carry it out, etc etc. There are countless of valid reasons, that the doctor has to diagnose and be written somewhere for the record.
Yeah, I'm sure there exists a middle between Texas with a near total abortion ban and Portland where you can abort until birth. They can have sensible abortion laws like most of the world.

But the USA is so divided and each side just wants to shove it in the other's face. I just hope that this rhetoric doesn't spill over to Canada.

Before roe fell. Libs would not want a 15-20 week limit like most developed countries have. Now they would be happy to get that, but now republicans got a taste of tyranny and they want a full on ban with paid snitching and surveillance, and punishment for those going out of state/out of country. There will never be middle ground in the Us anymore.

Before I start ,I am not a Liberal
But ,Abortion is one thing I like in their policies,
Reason
I was also completely against abortion once but after reading Freakanomics ,changed my perspective.I will save you some time
It was found in USA there was a strong corelation between abortion and fall of crime rate .
Reason
Majority of this parents ,I am not talking about responsible people like you /me buy people who are dirt poor, ddrug addicts,no education (yes such people exist in US),if they raise a kid which they dont want in a household which is poverty ridden then it will contribute to child abuse which will intern cultivate crminal behaviour ,thus causing more crime.A lot of researches were conducted on this most of the cases the moms abort their kid when they really really dont see a future with that kid, several studies have found they even hate that kid, example children born to rape victims.
Who will support this kids?
CPS?hell no most end u being criminals their
Tax payers?No way
Why additional burden to the society?
A detail explanation you will get from frekanomics ,Honestly that was an eye opener because what the author said made complete sence for me atleast.
Not because their body their life and that whole woke BS.

CIBC was better. The agents weren’t pricks. I was able to get a credit card easily. Scotiabank treated me like sh*t
I went with Scotiabank. They charged me 70 bucks for a chequebook which was supposed to be free. I emailed them, they asked me to phone them. I phoned them and waited 30 mins and they told me to go visit a branch. I decided it's not worth my time and marked it down as a loss. Will open an account with TD soon.

Scotiabank has a better credit card, if you like the cash back module, but their customer service sucks.
