If any of your children are of legal age and are under 22 and single they need to fill out the form and sign it.

Your still being legally married greatly complicates your application. I would get a lawyer

IRCC will want evidence that a divorce is in process.

It is therefore not enough to simply state that you are separated it is necessary to provide documentation to show that divorce proceedings have been initiated and are proceeding.

Since you have been apart from 2003 I am guessing your spouse is uncooperative and makes divorce difficult however you still need to show evidence that you want and are trying to obtain a divorce.

However, as long as they are satisfied that the marital relationship is at end and divorce is imminent, they will generally agree to approve the common-law relationship.
If IRCC thinks that you want to both be married and in a partnership with another person, then this could be a basis for a refusal of the sponsorship application.
