Do this fast.....Invite her now as your fiance before you marry her...And while the invites is in process, then you go marry her....Be ready to spend on her travel...If you are lucky she will get her visitors visa in the marriage process and she can come to Canada with you....If you invite and apply for visitors visa after the marriage, that is a dual intent application and that is what takes more review on the file

You don't need to register your marriage in Canada again if you register it in India....

The only solution is how the visitors visa will be granted quick or delayed and in anything, if she comes Here with you with visitors visa then you can do an inland application for her and seek to extend her visitors visa if it's about to expire and once you put the process or application for sponsorship when she's in here then you can apply for spousal open work permit for her

But if any of these processes don't happen then you have to do outland application
Hi Efie

My fiancee got her visitor visa approved based on the invitation letter she had from her aunt. We'll be getting married in July and then plan to come together to Canada via Vancouver. Since she is now traveling along with me and the purpose of the visit is no more to meet her Aunt in Toronto, so what should she tell the CBSA officer at Vancouver airport? Should she voluntarily tell them that she got married and is traveling with her husband who is a Canadian PR? Kindly suggest how best we can handle this situation as I do not want to mispresent any information and be ready with our answers.

Hi everyone, I applied for my wife’s immigration to Canada and it’s been over a month but I have not received any email confirmation or any UCI number so I can start tracking my application. Is anyone able to help or advise me how to go about obtaining this UCI number. I’ve tried calling CPC (Case Processing Centre) Sydney, NS but no one picks up the calls. I would really appreciate if someone could kindly give me some info.

You will not receive a UCI so soon. It usually takes around 3 months. There is nothing you can do but wait.

They received our application March 21st, we received the confirmation of reception on May 31st. So 2 months and 10 days was our waiting time instead of the regular 3 months

No, you don't qualify for the OWP.

You would only qualify for the OWP if you were being sponsored from within Canada as either a spouse (i.e. married) or common law partner.

You might want to think about withdrawing your conjugal application and reapplying once you are either married or common law. The fact you've been able to get a TRV approved and come to Canada is quite problematic for your conjugal application. You might end up sitting in eligibilty status for a very long time only to end up with a refusal.

If you applied outland (before you arrived in Canada), no, you can't apply for OWP.

If you are planning on getting married, note that technically that might disqualify you from conjugal (where there are supposed to be 'outside barriers' to getting married or common law). In fact arriving in canada might as well.

Still suggest you get married and provide info to IRCC asap - hopefully they will accept to 'convert' this into or evaluate as regular spousal.

Or as suggested above, actually withdraw and re=apply asap - that might ahve better chances of getting evaluated quickly. (Not to mention that would be an inland app aand you can apply for OWP).

I have 2 questions. We received this message on CIC Portal and Email:

1. Is this PPR?
2. It says to submit the documents at VFS near us. VFS in Mumbai only allows Appointments for Biometrics. How can we submit this package?

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform our CPC-Ottawa office immediately via the IRCC Web Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/webform.asp with details concerning your situation.

Your application will not be refused because you are unable to provide the requested document on time.
