Hi everyone,
I'm from Vietnam. I'm a first-year master's student in Norway. In my second year, I was nominated to a double degree program in Ivey Business School in Ontario, Canada. I will get another degree from this university.
Now I am applying for visa/study permit from Norway to Canada. I have some questions as:
(1) I ask the Embassy of Canada in Norway, and they told me I can apply for SDS, as long as I reside in Norway legally for study. Is it correct? I want another confirmation from IRCC, how can I contact them?
(2) If I apply for non-SDS, how much money will I need to deposit in the saving account? I don't have to pay tuition fee. will 10,000 CAD be enough? I have a monthly salary ~ 1500 CAD, bank statement within 6month can show. Is it strong enough to get an approved visa, or I need more documentation such as: housing assets, car...
(3) In Norway as I searched there is no place to get biometrics. Do I have to travel to another country in Europe like Sweden? If it is the case, where can I get my passport sticked with visa? I also need to travel to VFS Sweden?
(3) My admission letter stated that the program duration is from 6/9/2022 to 30/4/2023, which is 7 months 23 days, not enough 8 months. Does that mean I cannot apply for PGWP after I finish my study? If I request the coordinator to change the time from 1/9/2022 to 30/4/2023, will I be eligible for PGWP then?
(4) Can someone who used to apply from Europe to Canada and is not a resident in Europe share your experience with me? ( ex: how long it will take,..) I just received the admission letter so I did not have enough to understand the process carefully. Meanwhile, they said that it takes a very long time to get the visa under current situation so I really need help to submit my application as soon as possible.
Thank you so much and wish you a nice day!
