Has anyone contacted IRCC for update on application and got successful answer? What is the number you called?
Or has anyone ordered GCMS notes?

Calling them is a waste of time, believe me. When I contacted them, all they said was that they had been working on my background check for the past 9 months and that there was nothing they could do to speed up the process; it would happen when it would happen unless you could prove an emergency.

Been in Canada for 10 years still waiting .... 5 Years undergrad (paying that 3X International Tution), PR Express took 21 months to finalize as they put me through Security Screening for god knows why .... now Applied for Citizenship AOR December 02, 5 months have passed, not a single movement, no test invite, Security not completed either, 5 years of top bracket tax payments as well .... talk about patience ... this county has let me and many others down big time!

When I was a kid, I was informed that Canada only works for six months of the year and that everything shuts down for the winter. But, at the very least, I now know that this is true for immigration offices. Lmao!!!

Btw, I applied in July 2021 AOR on October 13th, and nothing has happened since then, not even a BC check.

Then most likely your application is stuck with CSIS for security clearance.
I have a similar situation.

I was not asked for fingerprints and criminality has been cleared

I am June applicant and my timeline is also the same like yours.

I gave FP on March 14 and as per IRCC call centre, results were received on April 8, and i had 2 ghost updates on April 11 and April 26 but no actual progress on tracker. I called IRCC call centre 2 times in between and both times they told me criminality and citizenship test is passed and security is going on.

I don't know how long CSIS needs, its veen almost one month as of today and 2 ghist updates in between and still patience game is on.

In between, i have requested GCMS notes from IRCC, CSIS & CBSA. Applied for all 3 as i am curious to know what notes look like. Waiting for notes too. Heard in background checks after criminality, IRCC wait for clearance from CSIS and CBSA, thats why applied for notes from those 2 departments too.

I got a ghost update on April 25th too, I thought it’s to update my test completion but the completed date on tracker for test completion is 19th April, so I don’t know what’s the 25th April ghost update for

I'm assuming your BGC are still in progress, criminality as highlighted is passed, CSIS clearance still pending! this might take weeks/ months! waiting is the name of the game to get your clearance through, hang in there it will be completed!

Thanks for the details @rizwan150 - I did the same applied for GCMS notes on April 7th, received them on May 11th. Applied for CSIS and CBSA yesterday to see update on application. If you're getting ghost updates, it's probably a good thing as your file is being reviewed.

So, you got the GCMS notes in 5 weeks, thats a good time. Can you share notes section updates brief ?
