Best visa class for an employed person in GTA

Hi,
We had to move to Canada in October 2021 with a work permit. It was an internal transfer in my company. We are thinking of getting our PR done. I asked in my company and they said they will process it after a year of coming to Canada i.e. after October 2022. Should I wait for them to do it or can I consider doing it by myself separately? What are the pros and cons?

You can do it yourself if you meet the requirements and can be selected.

Have you calculated how many points you have under Express Entry? (Note that you cannot count the 50 job offer points until you have worked in Canada for a full year.) EE draws are supposed to resume this summer. Whether you are selected will depend on how many points you have.

Have you researched the Ontario PNP programs to see if you qualify to apply through any of those now?
