Hi,
I have a unpaid co-op from company A, which I would submit to college as a part of my college requirement to graduate. But, I also want to work for a paid co-op for a company B because company A’s co-op is remote and doing it just for the sake of doing it. So, is it possible to do this? My concern is whether this would affect my PR in the future or will the college or government get to know that I am working for both the companies at the same time?

Is it a co-op position through the college that is required for graduation? How is it affiliated with your school? Or is it a job not a co-op.

The co-op is required by the college and it can be from any company and it is a co-op and not a full time job

So do you need the job with company B to graduate & are submitting it for graduation? If not, it is not a co-op. You can work for them up to 20 hours.

It can be from company A or B. But, I want to submit a unpaid co-op and want to work 40 hours for the paid co-op. And, unpaid co-op doesn’t run a payroll on my SIN. So, am I still allowed to take a paid co-op in this case?

Not unless you are submitting the co-op position as part of your program to graduate.
