Seems like UK is offering 2-3 year visas to graduates of the top 50 universities, without job offer. US with all their nationalism will someday start losing desirability from top talent worldwide.
Great news. I hope the entire Europe eases all the rules to attract more "global talent" so North America can finally look like North America once again and not China.

whoa. I think this represents the beginning of the end for the US as the top spot. By saying top 50 universities, they're already doing all the pre-selecting without any extra effort. Coupled with a direct open work permit and no restrictions, this could end up being the peak of supposed "skilled immigration", without any lambda college fucking loopholes.
And it seems it will be available to those who graduated up to 5 years before applying. Enough time for you to use up your work permit in the US and realize the US is a mistake lol.

When did you submitted?
what’s the response by visa officer to this pcc?
I am going to submit local one. I have not submitted it yet. Meanwhile, I will also attach the proof in LOE that PSK appointment have been booked but will take more than 2 months.

Yeah it's literally telling the US "hey, take the time to train people for us, and revoke their visa. We'll gladly take them after that. "

Another week of premature ejaculation of PPRs, I guess IRCC believes in wanking off as genocide of millions, being liberal is just making them lazy.

The majority of graduates of the top 50 universities (the vast majority of them being American universities) would have gotten semi-permanent work visas/residency in the United States. The only ones left out would be Indian/Chinese graduates who were unlucky in their H1B attempts. And I'm not sure how many of them would want to go to the UK. In terms of numbers, this won't be significant compared to number of people entering on work-permits. A more fruitful approach for the UK would be to provide an express pathway for ILR. 5 years on work-permit seems a bit longish. If it were 2(like Germany), I'd prefer the UK over Canada.

For US you are assuming that most students went into STEM. Not a bad assumption, but for the rest of non-STEM the duration of OPT+H1B is kind of limited. UK allows all fields and the visa is not contingent on the job for HPI. That means a lot for non-STEM.

Another thing to compare might be the amount of time toward not worrying about legal status. UK’s 5 years might look lengthy, but US has a huge variance. Pre-2020 EE would certainly beat everyone else in this regard.

in reality 90% of work permit folks doesn't feel tied to one job, employers offer a lot of flexibility, employee can leave and enter a new firm when there's a good opportunity. Non STEM has a lot of opportunities in UK. Resident status in UK doesn't make a big difference tho. When you are in a Work permit and the payment is fair, a permanent resident status isn't gonna make a difference, and a pr simply looks like a piece of paper. hehe.
Those who wish to settle down in UK may find a spouse from UK and gets married in 3 years. All UKVI application processing times are within 6 months. Usually its processed within 3 months.

What’s up man:)

You are talking about the UK, right? In the US it’s (IMO) super stressful to get a PIP on H1B.

Hi, while uploading PCC the site asks for document number and expiry date. I have got pcc from india. It has a file number, can I put that as document number?there is no expiry date on the pcc, So what should I be putting in the expiry column? Kindly give your inputs.
