Does anyone have experience with mandamus？How much does it cost? How long does the process take? I am from 2019 applicant group, waiting for 2.5years, thinking of mandamus (Tried atip notes, MP, webform...etc already).

Jun 12, 2019 application, medical done Aug 2021, additional docs all submitted Sep 2021, still no PPR to date
I always wondered what to do given such endless waiting

PGP is low priority which is why there is a wait.

Hello.

We have been waiting for PR approval since June 2020. Have been on SS since September 2020. No movement so far. We are thinking of a writ of mandamus. Does anyone have any experience? Could you suggest a relevant agency/lawyer (preferably a tried one), who can help with that?
Will appreciate any assistance.

It looks like you are an EE applicant. If so, I would recommend you go to the big FSW thread in the Express Entry section of the forum and ask this question there. There are a few people in that thread who have done mandamus.

And found only 4 results in 2023.
Does it mean that mandamus is a very unpopular, or most of them just don't make it to a decision stage?

There are 3 steps to mandamus:

1) Letter of Demand (Specific Performance Request)
2) Submitting mandamus application to court
3) Mandamus Hearing (very unsual that it will go to this step)

That is why you dont see more mandamus hearing decisions. Usually things start moving after either the letter of demand or by filing a mandamus in federal court.
