Passport delivery

Hey all,
My parents got a passport request on Mar 21st. The courier came and picked up their passports on the 29th.

They are planning to do a short trip within India for 2 weeks starting on April 11th. What are the options if they miss the passport delivery (in case it isn't delivered before then)? Is there some way to know if they missed it and can they pick it up from the VFS office later?

it should reach you before 11th…vfs will give you awb number to track the stamped passport n u can check in bluedart site on which day exactly it’ll be delivered…you can also make sure that someone is at your home to receive it,(you can also keep in touch with local bluedart office, saying you are expecting the passport n ask if your parents can authorize someone to receive it on their behalf if they are out of station)…i wont recommend missing the delivery, its passport! and don’t know where it goes once returned undelivered
