I'm from India and want to pursue my bachelors degree in design from Canada.
I'm a bit confused with what I should be looking for. Honours degree or Ontario college certificate?

You need a degree/diploma to get a certificate which are usually only one year of study. Do you have post secondary study? If not, then degree.

Valuable to whom? You need to show how the degree/diploma will give you job opportunities and higher pay in your home country to justify costs. Depends on the program and career opportunities but a bachelor degree can be considered more valuable if in a specific field (IT, Comp Sci, Engineering). Assume you don’t have any post secondary, so a degree.
