Hi,

I got an invitation to apply for work permit (under IEC)
Form 5707 asks: "will accompany you to canada" for my wife and child.
They are going to come with me on the same flight with their own personal visitor visa.
They are therefore accompanying me right?

No - you need to answer "no".

Your dependants can’t come with you to Canada under the IEC program. However, they may apply to visit, study or work in Canada. We’ll look at your application separately from theirs.

Then why they ask? Is this form not only for IEC?
Also, they will 100% come with me if they are granted a visitor visa, so i cannot lie and say NO.

I was in the exact same situation as the person who posted this thread.
I answered YES. Because they will be accompanying me through up to the border.

I was granted a "Letter of Introduction" today.

What if I answered NO and came in with my wife/children? The officer will be asking why did I lie and wrote "NO" ?
