Dear All,

I need your thread members help in this regard:

I am a Quebec Selected applicant already obtained CSQ on late december 2010.
Now I am preparing for federal documentations, does any body know if I claim for a family relation outside of Quebec (My aunt) there maybe any advantage for my application? I assume until my aunt sends me all required documents at least it will take one month delaying my application progress.

Any comments would be appreciated

Hi Kia,
I m not in a position to tell whether your aunts proof will be admisible or not, but my question is more direct.... why do you need your aunts doc... if u already have CSQ

to the best of my knowledge... apply for federal alone..as federal govt is only concerned abt your background check and security clearence... hence it does not matter if u have an aunt in canada..not at this stage of the application.

@ kia, even if u had included your aunt in the selection stage which u just scaled 2ru it would have amounted to nothing since she is not in quebec.
having said that, the admission stage which is your next stage now does not award any point ( they only scrutinize background/security and medicals). Incuding her at this stage only has the potentia of complicating things for u. cos it will kinda creat an impression that u dont intend staying in Quebec ( remember u will have to fill-out a form titled: Declaration of intent to reside in quebec.)
Pls time waits for no one . get d necessary docs and kick out that application ASAP.

I am with Shahi as well, if you needed your relative relation in Quebec or Outside, you should have needed it during the CSQ application stage, now no point, you are already selected.

Asking her to send you proofs, will delay your Federal and add no more values...

Just go a head and lodge your PR application.

Hi Everyone.

I've really been missing in action, nevertheless I am back now! I have just submitted my Fed Application to the Canadian Embassy, almost a week ago, though of coz they have not yet sent back any confirmation of receipt. I have been able to access Emploi Quebec to apply for jobs and put my online profile for employers to view, well, no job offers yet, lol...and maybe abt 10 views of my profile to dale, lol....

I have also just joined a French Classe programme offered by the Gvt with the FEL, well my tutor has advised me that my French is too low and she's not so sure if I will make it on the course. Well, for starters, I thought these courses were being offered to those who need help to learn French in order to facilitate a smooth intergration into Quebec. I am a bit confused now coz u'd find that in my first virtual class, all of the other pple there cld speak fluent French. Honestly, I'm hoping there's something for me there, or else I may have to just register privately.

By the way, I'm not sure if twas Buahoe (sp) who was saying Gatinuae and Hull are good places to consider to settle, coz its closer to Ottawa and that its a developing area with lots of opportunities... I just need to check friends, just in case I cannot get a job in Quebec, will I be able to work in Ottawa, whilst living in Quebec, since the declaration is that I reside in Quebec- Is it reside and work in Quebec, or just reside. After having applied on Emploi Quebec, I'm not so confident of my job prospects u know. Anyone in Quebec, please motivate me right now, lol....

Working in IT department(Administrator of ERP,a financial suit ) of an MNC = 04 years
Ielts= 7.00 Band
French= A2 (moderate)Level
Age= 28

Partner's points
Age=28
Education=12+1 year education
French= begginer
English= moderate

My query is.....
Finance/Accountants can apply for quebec Immigration or not and if how many points are there?
My Ielts is almost 1.5 years old will it work.....
Should i submitt all my documents after getting them notorized, or leave it to Immigration Office.
Can any one tell me whether i qualify for quebec Skilled worker or not, and how much marks can i get with these details,
I would request you as seniors to comment plz..

I think you have a good shot. You need to do the online evaluation which is to see if you might qualify:

There is no list of professions for Quebec as there is for FSW, so you can apply under any occupation.

I think the IELTS has to be less than a year old - but you don't necessarily need to send IELTS if you have other ways of proving your English skills.

In terms of being notarized, it depends on your visa office. They have specific instructions. Check them out here:

I have now sent my application to the Canadian embassy together with the police clearance. Now waiting for AOR, then rrequest for meds. Are u still in Gatineau? Tell me something, if i settle in Gatinuae and Hull and get a job in Ottawa, will I be able to work in Ottawa, whilst living in Quebec, since the declaration is that I reside in Quebec- Is it reside and work in Quebec, or just reside. After having applied on Emploi Quebec, I'm not so confident of my job prospects u know. How is Gatineau anyway, in terms of the job market beauhoe, and have u got a steady job in ur lone of work. i'd be grateful for more information in this area....

My or my, its winter already, how long is the winter there? I'd love the snow!
