I have gotten a multiple entry TRV to Canada. I am wondering if it is possible for me to work there? What procedures do I have to go through to get a work permit?

As a tourist you are legally not allowed to work.

and on top of that, you can't perform ANY job that a canadian can essentially be paid to do. that means, you can't "volunteer" yourself to do a job an employer would otherwise pay another person to do. the only "volunteer" work that is NOT considered illegal is work that NO other person is every paid to do, or it is publicly marketed as a volunteer position.
