Work permit renewal

Hey Everyone
Im protected person i want to extend my work permit also my pr is in process

I have two questions

My work permit will be expired by late August so is it possible to renew it now?
And should i choose less than 6 month or more than 6 month for renewal ?

As the WP will expire in late August, you can apply in early June.


Open an account in GCkey:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

Also, you can follow this thread:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/renewal-work-permit.826019/

In the GCKey account click how you want to come to Canada. On the next page, click for work, Less than 6 months, and then you'll find Refugee after that follow the steps. There are a lot of questions about being eligible for the work permit. Answer all the questions (All are yes/No). Finally, you need to upload your previous work permit copy, passport copy, and form imm5710e. It's downloadable and fillable. Complete and upload the form. Then submit.

One more thing, After you get your work permit, remember to renew your SIN.

After that, you open an account here to check the status:
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/my-account.html

** You will receive your new work permit by mail **

And what is the difference netween less than 6 month and more than 6 month?
