I applied for work permit (ICT) open work permit for my wife and dependent visa for my 1 year old daughter. All at the same time.

medical: up front before submission of application
Application submitted: 5th oct 2021
Biometric request letter: 6th oct 2021
Biometric submitted: 8th oct 2021
Medical passed: 26th oct 2021
Passport submission request: 18th Nov 2021

Just wanted to give an update.

passport pickup: 22nd Nov 2021 (two way courier)
Visa stamped: 26th Nov 2021
Work permit approval received: 29th Nov 2021
Passport delivered back: 30th Nov2021

So overall it took me about 56 days (end to end process with up front medical)

My wife has got work permit (ICT) for Canada and I have got the dependent visa, So is it better to apply for Open work permit from India or should I enter Canada and then apply for the open work permit ? I am a newbie in the process here so its a request if anyone aware about the process please let me know.

Apply it from India only , together..
