WORK PERMIT EXTENSION (BOWP or CLOSED WORD PERMIT)

Hi Everybody:

My Post Grad Work Permit will Expire on June 12, 2015.

I am an AINP nominated in EMPLOYER DRIVEN CATEGORY and my Application is in CIC office in Sydney, NS. I have got CIC file #. I need to apply for my Work Permit Extension. I wonder Should i apply for open work permit or Closed Work Permit! If any body could share their experience please.

Since u already have AOR from CIC u can apply for BOWP which is open work permit.but u can only apply when u have 4 or less months left in ur current work permit.i would say get BOWP since its open work permit.with ur certificate u will get closed permit tied to ur employer so u if quit or got fired ur work permit wont be valid so BOWP is better choice.

BOWP is best choice, I was in same situation I got BOWP. good luck.

I'm in the same situation as the 1st person but my WP expires in Feb. Applied for BOWP on Dec 1st and today received a refusal with the explanation: "You must submit a letter from the province that nominated you under the Provincial
Nominee Program that DOES NOT stipulate conditions or restrictions indicating you
must work for a Specific Employer, or work Under a Specific National Occupational
Classification Code. (If these stipulations exist on your Nomination, you are NOT eligible
for a bridging open work permit)"

I just filled an electronic form to apply online and the difference from BOWP checklist is I have to provide documents such as
Offer of Employment
Proof that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered
Employer Questionnaire and Declaration

I hope this time it will work and I will get my WP

I have sent my online application for BOWP with out AOR. I thouth that when they check my document I got AOR and i send it later. But l didnt get AOR and I have got refused about BOWP. I have got refusal letter and there is written 4 paragraphs on it. Two of them were ok for me but 3nd was about AOR and 4th was about restriction. I was worry about 4th and send to AINP email to give me letter that I dont have any restriction. In 30 minutes the officer call me and told that I sholdnt worry. I dont need the letter and l dont have any restrictions. They told me that I should wait for AOR and send my aplication again

I think if CIC officer made mistake so AINP officer will call them to explane.
