I am a year older than my husband. He's 22, I'm 23. I highly doubt it will cause them to raise eyebrows, they are more concerned about couples with large age gaps. It is not uncommon for a woman to be the same age or close with her husband. You should be just fine!

Dudebr n hbenz, thank you for your response and replies, it has been much appraciated. The sad thing is we might think we know and we might think the easy questions are stupid and a waste of time, I would have appreciated it if you hadnt made a comment, this shows alot and like i said, much appreciated and wish you all the best with your cases....

I know sometimes we freak out about lame things, but be worried about 1 year age gap is a little too much.
This forum is already full of useless topics... where is the moderators?
When I am looking for something really worry-some I have to go through a huge amount of topics that contain less than 10 replies and that are of no help at all.
Dude...maybe you should understand that for some visa offices, there are no useless topics. kwabena kwabena will be applying at one of the most (if not the most) difficult visa offices in the world, with a refusal rate of 40%. It is best he asks these questions now, and prepares his application accordingly, rather than have it come up at an interview.

He made the topic pretty clear in his subject line, it would have been easy for you to just glance past this one.

Oh my goodness! To the above posters who showed negativity, that is awful. If you did not want to respond, don't. kwabena was asking a valid question worthy of a response like anyone else's. Shame on you!

kwabena, no one should EVER feel they cannot ask a valid question here. Everyone has a reason to be worried and everyone has a right to get help. You should never feel like you "shouldn't have asked". Again, shame on them. I rarely say that, but I feel it is warranted.

It is always suggested to search through the forum first and make sure the question has not been answered already. I don't recall that specific question being asked. And even if it has, you certainly didn't hurt anyone, and I am thrilled I could help put your mind at ease.

Ask away, that's what the forum is here for.

Good luck to you and everyone. May all of us who are genuine get our PR swiftly! :)

The only stupid question is the question you refuse to ask.

A one-year age difference is no cause for concern. The wife being older than the husband is not considered a good reason to reject an application, though if the age gap is very large the visa officer will have questions.
And kwabena kwabena, don't worry about asking things. You had a clear thread title, so if people don't want to read or answer, they shouldn't.

age difference 1 year is not a problem. we have so many womens on this website who marry and bring their husbands who are 20 years or more YOUNGER than them. so i dont think its problem for u.

i think IO will be impress from u young couple because u people wanna start new life and ur in love with each other.
GOD BLESS U

Yo HBENZ man, maybe if you posted in proper English, people would take more notice of the nonsense you are saying.

Sorry but this was a valid question from someone whom had a valid concern.

The immigration process is long and stressful and we as a community, should be united and not judgmental about what we perceive as being relevant or not.

Sighs...more negative karma thingy.
