Hello Guys,

So a quick background, I was diagnosed with Hypertension back in 2018 and have been on medication since. This diagnosis at such a young age (I'm 23 currently) was surprising because of which I had to go through various tests and thankfully all of them were okay.

Now, that I have gotten admission to Canada for a master's program and since I'm an Indian citizen living in India, I had to go for an upfront medical examination for the study permit application. During the medical examination, my blood pressure was 110/90 and my pulse rate was 100. I had declared my history to the doctor there and she had basically instructed me to include some old test reports with the file (Renal Dopler artery report from 2018 and heart 2d eco cardiography report from 2018, both of which show that both my heart and kidneys are normal and healthy). I was not asked to take any additional tests. I had my medication and old test reports file with me which at which the doctor had a thorough look.

So, will my hypertension history be a problem in approval of my study permit application?

If the doctor did not ask for additional tests and asked you to include old test reports which show you are healthy, you have nothing to worry about
