Started school last May. Being new to Canada, i wasn't settled & failed 1 of 3 courses in the first semester. Second semester i buckled down, passed both subjects. Third semester (which i am in now), i made a bad choice on one of the three subjects (tough as hell ) which has me strongly fearing a failing grade. Choices: 1) drop the subject by tomorrow, consulted immigrations office at the school & they said dropping a subject (resulting in less than 6 Credit hrs per semester) tends to cause problems with Immigrations when i apply for a study permit extension or post grad work permit at the end of school. 2) Not drop the subject, press on with it but if i fail i will get kicked out of the program for at least a year, thus compromising my stay in Canada.
Questions: how much of a problem is it with immigrations at the end of the program (next yr) if a student drops a course & is considered “part time”
