Because there were many high scoring candidates who entered the pool to bump up the cut off. You cant predict the trend of the score.

By the looks of it, it should come down. But it's all speculation. Number of invites along with the time in between the draws is crucial.

Why not? Correct me if I'm wrong but the cutoff number isn't chosen then everyone gets ITA. It's top down, they give to the highest ranked and publish the score of the lowest CRS points invited.

I'm not sure if I got your comment completely but anyone at or above the cutoff score gets the invite, provided they are actively in the pool when the draw took place. This means there are no profiles with a score at or above the cutoff number in the pool, literally meaning 0 active profiles.

As to why it went up or whether it'll go down is pure speculation and guesstimates. No one except the CIC has the entire picture of the pool. But follow the hope of thread and you'll get some good insights and great perspectives.

Well, I meant: CIC issues a number of invitation (eg 4000) and they go for the 4000 with the highest points. The lowest score is just informative of where they stopped. It's not the other way around. CIC doesn't choose a CRS number, then see who has more points than that and send invitations to everyone. Clearer?

This is not correct. They don't say I want 3000 people and then pick 3000 with the highest score. They pick a number and every active profile above that number gets an invite. Sure the selection of the number may be based on them having an idea of how much is likely to be selected but once a number is selected, every active profile above that score gets picked.
