My friend who is Canadian would like to marry a Taiwanese lady. He is in Canada and she is in Taiwan. He would like her to move to Canada so that they can get married and live together. Which visa should she apply for to go to Canada? I heard that Taiwanese get 6 months tourist visas. If they were to marry in Canada while she is on a tourist visa, can she have the visa extended at the end of 6 months or the status to be changed since she will be married? Also, how long will it take her to get a SIN number, drivers license, health card and all that stuff? Thanks for all and any advice!
