Where is the FILE?

Applied online for mother in law who is in India.
Processing times has exceeded for the visa offices closer to her home town.
Sent email queries to both but no reply. Called CIC Canada and they even do not know.


Where is the File? Why cannot we know this at least?


cancelled flight ticket today. Attached flight ticket with the application as per the visa app guidelines.

Hi Rahul,

Your mom-in-law's file is pretty much with the visa office.... and is being processed. Processing times stated on the CIC website are only indicative.

Does your MIL work with a government department, defense services, police or judiciary?

Replies to CSEs could take up to 30 days or even longer. CIC Canada would not know about the processing status.

It's not necessary to have booked tickets..... a provisional flight itinerary would have sufficed (with a statement that tickets will be booked/confirmed when a TRV is issued
