Where did people attach the marriage certificate to the application?

Hey folks,

I finally received my Option C in the mail today, so I'm ready send the application off! Just a final thing: Where did everyone put their marriage certificate copy in their application? With the sponsor part, or the immigration part?

I'm a little unclear from the checklists we have!

I didn't split my application in 3 folders, so I followed the checklist's order.

It's just on the Sponsor checklist #14 it states the marriage certificate "if you have a co-signer and she or she is your spouse"

My wife isn't a co-signer (she's out of Canada, I'm in Canada). I didn't see any other reference to the certificate. Did I miss it somewhere?

In the sponsor checklist, it's point 25 - Proof of relationship to sponsor.

It is also required as per the applicant checklist, in the box in section Section 7 where it asks "If you are or ever have been....".

I would say its more from proof of relationship.

It depends on how you are organizing your app. Most people separate everything into 3 envelopes: sponsor forms/documents, applicant forms/documents and relationship proofs. The marriage certificate would go in the relationship proof envelope.
