Saskatoon attracting increased number of immigrants

Canada, 22nd December: Want to move abroad to start a new phase of life of opportunities? Consider Saskatoon in Canada, says a recent survey.

Saskatoon is already drawing an amazingly high number of newcomers wanting to immigrate in search of greener pastures.

Immigrants fascinated by plethora of job opportunities in Saskatoon-- It comes as an obvious choice for newcomers due to growing number of opportunities of jobs here thus drawing immigrants from Canadian provinces including Quebec, B.C.(British Columbia) and Ontario.

These three Canadian provinces have, for long, allured majority of immigrants from various corners of the world to come, live and work here.

It is really good to live in such a good place like Saskatoon and the fact that if offers good employment opportunities makes it even alluring, admits a newcomer to Saskatoon, Sayful Ahmed from Bangladesh. That’s why Ahmed chose to settle in Saskatoon rather than moving to Toronto or Vancouver, the once most favorite immigration destinations for majority of immigrants.

With a population of 234,000, it has already become a favorite immigration hub for immigrants hailing from India, China, UK, the Philippines and Ukraine as well.

Westward shift in immigration trend—In the recent times, there has been shift in the immigration trend with an increasing number of immigrants moving westward rather than opting to settle in places like Ontario and Vancouver.

This becomes quite clear by taking a look at the international migration figures for the Q3 of 2011. The data shows Saskatchewan attracting highest number of immigrants since the year 1971.

Alberta happens to be yet another place becoming increasingly attractive to newcomers. On the other hand, rate of international migration for Ontario is stated to lowest since the year 1998.

This westward shift of population is due to increasing economic prosperity. According to Rob Norris, immigration minister of Saskatchewan, Canada is witnessing change in contemporary settlement patterns with Western Canada growing rising in the popularity charts both for international and domestic people equally.

Moreover, a westward shift also highlights a change in the policies for attracting newcomers to Canada. The once favorite skilled worker system is no longer enjoying predominance in terms of attracting immigrants to Canada. Rather, Provincial Nominee Programs of Western provinces of Canada are alluring more immigrants now days

Canada’s first Super Visa issued

Canada, 23rd December: Canada has issued its first Parent and Grandparent Super Visa.

This was revealed by Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney. Speaking on the occasion of issuing Canada’s first Super Visa, Kenney said the federal government remains committed to finishing the process of Canada Parent and Grandparent Super Visa in a period not exceeding eight weeks.

Canada Parent and Grandparent Super Visa—Under Canada’s Parent and Grandparent Super Visa issued by the government, parents and grandparents of Canada permanent residents and citizens of Canada are permitted to come and meet their families living in Canada.

This Super Visa is valid for a period of 10 years and needs renewal after a period of two years.

Prior to the introduction of Canada Super Visa for elders wanting to meet their children who are living in Canada, the total time period of their stay in Canada was limited to just six months.

So, after the completion of their six-month stay in Canada, parents or grandparents had no other option but to shell out bucks every six months and make application for extending their stay in Canada to be with their families.

Positive response to Canada Super Visa program—The newly launched Canada Super Visa program has attracted positive response from immigrant communities since it will allow loved ones of Canada citizens and Canada permanent residents to remain with them for extended time in Canada, Kenney stated.

Canada’s first Super Visa was issued on 14th December in Canadian embassy in Manila just fifteen days after applications were accepted by Canada immigration department-CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) for such visas.

The launch of Canada Super Visas is aimed to bring considerable reductions in the long backlogs for parents and grandparents wanting to join their families in Canada. The federal government hopes it will bring down the current backlog of 165,000 down.

The cost of Canada Super Visa is C$150, informed official spokesperson of CIC, Bill Brown. In addition, there is a third party service provider charge fee.

Eligibility criteria for Canada Super Visa—Applicants need to provide proof of minimum income of their host grandchild or child. In addition, they must show proof of having bought comprehensive medical insurance in Canada and need to undergo the Immigration Medical Examination.

Bitter truth for New Landed Immigrants.

L7 said:
Insufficient intros and salaries, migrants facing tough time in Canada.

December 20, 2011: “Much discontent in the hearts if new Canadian as they face higher unemployment rates in major cities then in the rest of Canadian region. Also the gender difference has taken its toll.”

A person who wants to go to Canada on immigrant Visa is generally required to have higher skills and enough qualifications that would be compatible to the criteria of immigration. Also he or she is asked to be efficient in language plus other computer skills which are of great demand today. But what is the catch for all the effort. As a general survey has disclosed the current scene in Canada which is somewhat in contrast to what it seems to have been in that country.

Normally you would dream to get an ideal job and a citizenship without any problem but this is not what happens in real. The immigrants are required to stay there for a time then they have to cross a tough process of recognition and even some failed to do so were to apply again and again. None the less also for those lucky who got their first admissions approved the next phase is tougher than the previous. The “job hunt”. In current situation the Jobs are scarce so are the venues of earning. As compared to native stable residents you are not given the same position and also the same salary.

A recent analysis shows that both the immigrants and the natives having similar skills are worth more than 30.7 billion $ to this country's economy. As for the administration of Royal bank they seemed to have criticized the intention of Canada for gathering more talent than it could handle. This someway in relates to the Data which has revealed that over 40 percent of the immigrants these days hold a Bachelor degree which is much higher than the low percentage of Eighties.

The difference is clear, just six years ago the average annual income survey of nearly every immigrant in Canada was over forty five thousand while this is reduced to less than thirty this year. While debate is hot that unless the margin is reduced they annual income should be over fifty seven thousand dollars. This has an impact unwanted and the gap is nearly twenty one percent and per annum salary goes under forty thousand Dollars for an equally qualified and skilled immigrant. A suggestion is to consent this break and make a good impact on the gross domestic product of the country. Also even some little extra can boost the economy for good reason.

Yet the scene for the immigrants is hopeless as they face tough and nearly out of job situations in most part of the country. It is to be taken in consideration that over thirty years ago the margin of joblessness was somewhat higher to the later years but that could be reduced a bit more if some of the main features which are being taken today would have met earlier rather than just space filling.

Now the situation has gone even worse than past thirty years and the rate of unemployment is inc4reasing much higher. Also the gender difference is worsening the crisis since male earn nearly double then their female colleges. This also goes for the major three metropolis of Canada which is already showing increase in unemployment rather than in other areas of this country.

Resulting analysis goes in contrast to what Canada offers as the foundation of this great juvenile was on the bases of immigration but that does not look the same in present and could be worse in near future.

I don't understand why in this day and age women still earn half of what their male counterparts earn in Canada, yet Canada was voted the third best country for women! :-\

British Columbia Lays Groundwork to Attract Immigrants

December 27, 2011: Dramatic reverse of UK’ outlook, British Columbia sorts ways to boost the influx of skilled immigrants.

Premier Christy Clark has called for the setting up of a task force to study how skilled immigrants and investors can be attracted to the province of British Columbia, Canada.

This is a province and a country that was built on immigration and that hasn't changed, Clark said.

A nine member group shall be constituted to analyse all of the province’s programs related to immigrants and suggest any possible improvement or enhancements in order to simplify the procedure of immigration for skilled workers from around the world.

The Task Force
It is expected that eminent community and business leaders shall be roped in to form the task force. The Provincial Nominee Program, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Immigrant Investor Program are the various schemes to be scanned by the group that has proposed to submit a report by the end of March next year. John Yap, elected head of the task force has voiced a resolve to make the immigration procedure to British Columbia a smooth ride for skilled workers and interested investors. The team is likely to meet employers, industry associations, community members and other groups of importance to get a rounded picture and then work upon it in an appropriate fashion.

Premier Speaks

"We've laid out an ambitious plan to create jobs in the B.C. Jobs Plan and we will need skilled immigrants to help fill more than one million job openings expected over the next decade," Clark said. "We don't know yet, how we're going to fill those jobs."

Much like what the province of Manitoba has been asking for, even BC has asked for a removal of the cap on immigration influx. It is interesting to note that the provincial nominee program was launched to help integrate skilled and educated professional immigrants into the Canadian population. It is important to do away with the upper limit on immigration of skilled workers under PNP as it does little to further the cause.

A Welcome Christmas Gift for the Immigrants:
Potential immigrants are excited because Canada has for long established and done justice to its claims of being one of the most immigrant friendly nations in the world. There is little left to be desired in the country’s programs for immigrants save for some small knots which the task force shall smooth out.

Canada’s Immigrant Investor Program Under Scanner

December 27, 2011: Investor Immigrants in the province of Manitoba an Issue of Concern for Canadian Authorities

Canada for long has been known to be one of the most immigrant friendly nations in the world. Recently however, the Canadian authorities have been voicing concerns about immigrants investing in various businesses and services in the province of Manitoba. While there have been no actual incidences of reported wrong doing, Manitoba Auditor-General Carol Bellringer has expressed dissatisfaction at measures taken by the government to protect the immigrants against agencies aiming to exploit their wealth and investments in a wrongful manner.

Official’s Proclamation
“It was an area we thought there was a high risk that there could be problems,” said Bellringer in an interview. “We wanted to find out how that whole investment part worked, and if there was any potential for [immigrants] to be taken advantage of.” The audits in Atlantic Provinces coming up with revealing information about alleged frauds and lawsuits, Bellringer tabled a proposal to launch similar audits in Manitoba. According to the office of the Auditor General, there have to be investigations pertaining to financial and human resource management. The high risk areas have yet to be identified and probed with sufficient ferocity.

Manitoba, over time has emerged as a favourite among immigrant investors. Peter Bjornson, Minister of Entrepreneurship, training and trade said,

We've got a waiting list of people who want to come and invest in Manitoba

There however, is an upper cap on the number of foreign nationals the province can invite to influence its economy and trade. Bjornson opined that the upper limit needs to be raised to allow Manitoba to attract more immigrants. He added that the province had a well structured plan in place to inspire this move.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, however clearly indicated that any such order is not coming to pass in near future. He said,
We are not going to continue with the rate of growth in the program over the past few years until we are able to sit down with the provinces and make sure our concerns are addressed.

Where does the program stand?
In the light of these developments, the Canada investor immigration program is under careful consideration. One of the issues seem to be the fact that immigrant investors start wherever their business finds a soft turf to begin with and then gradually move to Vancouver and other glamorous provinces to sink their into the bigger, tastier pie. The “home province” so to speak is left out in the cold, ready to host newer businesses which would eventually move to another province without contribute anything to the host’s economy so to speak.

Super Visas, being a costly affair is for Rich ones only

January 2, 2012: Super Visas is not turning as much favorable as it was expected to be, rather it is more of costly affair and disappointing immigrants who are looking forward to sponsor their parents and grandparents.

Super Visa launched during the previous month, by the Immigration authorities of the country, was much hyped and was thought as the easy way for the immigrants to reunite with their parents and grandparents back in their country.

Super Visas:

As per this new scheme by the immigration authorities, the super visas were supposed to bring together parents and grandparents of the new immigrants settling in Canada. These visas not only encourage the families to get together but also allow them to stay with their family members for the coming two years. The announcement of this visa scheme was soon followed by the optimistic response all over.

Costly Affair:

The coming of super visas was much appreciated by the new immigrants for whom it paved a way to get more close to their dependent parents and their grandparents. But the implementation was not as easy as of thought off.

In reality supervise turned up as a costly affair and could be afforded by only those who can pay for it. Soon the prime requirement of health insurance was brought forward. Being a high cost adding factor is hampering immigrants to sponsor their elders to the country.
The sponsored parent should carry a health insurance policy of around $ 3,300 or as per according to their age and requirements with them ensuring the country will not be bearing for their health issues. But such high cost for bringing in the elders is not an affordable for a common immigrant who earns enough to feed his family and maintain a middle class status.

Problem in Getting Super Visas:

Many of the immigrant’s are facing problems such as excessive documentation like birth certificates and other information required by the department that too at very short notice.
Recently the immigrants sponsoring their relatives were asked to submit all the details of the coming relatives consisting of personal information and complete other requirements within the time limit of 90 days. They are also asking for the things which are not required at initial stage therefore increasing troublesome situations for the sponsors as well as the sponsored people.
Adding more to it, in case applicant failed to submit the requirements on time, the department of its will assume that the applicant have changed their mind and will subsequently cancel the filled application by them.

The ones who are rich are finding it an easy option but those who are not may still have to wait for other ways to meet their elders.

Alberta an energy rich and wealthy destination in Canada.

January 2, 2012: With a first Muslim female mayor and an oil rich resource Alberta is the next ideal destination for the skilled immigrants who seek fortune in Canada.

One of the three grassland regions of Canada is highly populated since last decade and has crossed over three million streaks. The main reason why this region is now an apple of eye for the settlers is the natural resource of oil in these regions. Alberta one of the three Canadian prairies is full of the natural resource the oil and has now the most favorite spot for the foreigners to start a great settlement for life.

As the Chief Alison Redford has claimed that the gift of oil has made a number of attractions in recent decades from mainly China, Venezuela and Philippines mostly by major brand holders like Exxon Mobil Corp and Statoil ASA. This has made feasible to create the best natural energy assets exterior to Arab Lands.
So is the result of this fondness of oil as the mass of colonists has made stride in contemporary years owing to oil firm for they are willing to hire over ten thousand skilled worker in next eight years. This has already traversed in the proportion of satisfying up and around about several other regions of Canada.

Redford who has crossed his forty years of life and still he has been very confident in this regard and has firm belief that even though some of the thinkers had made narrow minded deleterious statements regarding the importance of this region. But as the current scenarios are claiming their own feasibility for the future, which is a complete change in the ideology of the political system bundled with bold innovation one can only imagine. So speaking in a manner of ability they are going to shape future for the world it has yet to comprehend.

A Chinese family migrated here in 2009 name and showed their consent to finding job and that it was very easy for them to get settle and make living. They have good relations with locals and local admire their hard work also. The result is satisfying, for recent years Alberta has made a huge mark up in for economic growth of Canada at a value of over sixty nine thousand U.S. dollars and seventy five parts taller than Quebec’s and has won amid several other provincial entrants.

The nascent depiction of Alberta will be traded by the fresh Energy Sector and thus is a great attraction for the rest of world to start the glooming opportunity and condense their enforced count on Arab oil. So novices for businesses are welcome. Discernible subgroups structure around a barrio of the residents of Calgary has been categorized as the fifth most habitable abode in the world by Economist magazine.

Not just that Naheed Nenshi has appeared in the Calgary the largest city if Alberta as the first Muslim female mayor, this shows the liberal views of the state and that it has changed its image by the positive investments and skilled immigrants in recent years. Naheed is a Tanzanian immigrant by parentages and has shown great devotion in case of subgroups and colonists. Her own views for this intention was nourishing as she avowed this abode as exclusive in its assortment of mayor from lesser which is even a sectional if one disquiet the creed.

Some of the colonists have found Alberta appealing and full of opportunity is because it is still young and has plenty of places to work and research for future. Alberta gets its name after Queen Victoria fourth offspring and it became a jurisdiction at a population of nearly the thousand persons in 1905. So it is clear that there is a lot of spaces present for new comers and that of the oil it has a great future and rich prospects. As history has shown that original European pilgrims who came took place of intrinsic communities worked in collectively for making living via crops and had to tolerate the stiff cold of below forty in their times. But their motives and courage was even tougher than the harsh environment thus they prevail steadily and made this land another place of opportunity for tomorrow.

Alberta is also very appealing for Bankers as in past most of the businessmen were really begging for their financial matters but as for the present the Global investment banks counting Rothschild, Societe Generale SA and Credit Suisse Group AG have opened their branches in the city which has aided the region in this matter positively.

Alberta will not be just a simple village anymore yet the main customs and culture is still giving a primitive look but that only recompense a fifteen per hundred of the county budget productivity. The reason is the juvenile oil and gas presence in the region which has added up extra for the major portion of gross output annually. Agreeing to official statistics it produces around a third of administration profits and hires one out of six hands. Other reason is also the climbing price of oil which is 100$ per barrel. Craig Alexander, chief economist has been very optimistic with this province and even said that it has a lot of gamble imminent.

Super Visa for parents and grandparents comes into force. What do I need to ask?

January 3, 2012: Your parents and grandparents are required to follow the following instructions which are very vital for a person and you are not required to obtain representative help.

A few weeks ago the Federal Government surprised many and announced the Super Visa, intended for Canadian residents can bring their parents or grandparents visiting for long periods of time.

The announcement touched many which had, like many things in life, a negative side. The country completely paralyzed receipt of requests for sponsorship of parents and grandparents for two years. That means that all who were in the process of preparing your documents have to wait until November 2013 for submission to the Canadian authorities.

To counter criticism of thousands of families who want to be with their closest, the Federal Government announced the Super Visa, which is under effect from December 1 2011.

From the outset we can say that the concept is good, especially when the likes of Don Davies, NDP MP and one of the strongest critics of the immigration system the Government of Harper, applauded the measure.

Still, the politician put a question on the table that the Immigration Minister, Jason Kenney, said quickly: those who have a permanent residency application course have no problem to apply the new Super Visa, according to review CBC.

Excellent news, because in the past Immigration Canada had blocked the visa applications for visitors to those who had an ongoing migration process.

Some details of the Super Visa:

Who can apply?

The parents or grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents must meet certain conditions.

We must take into account that the dependents of the person requesting the Visa Super are not entitled to this. You must apply for visitor visa independently.

Visa officers analyze several factors before deciding whether a person is eligible that is to say if it really intends to come to Canada for a visit and go after the visit ended. These include the following factors:

-Ties of the person's country of origin;
-The purpose of the visit;
-The family and financial situation of the person;
-The economic and political stability in the country of origin;
-The presence of an invitation from a host in Canada.
-In addition to being declared inadmissible to Canada, the parent or grandparent must:
-Present a written commitment of financial support from her child or grandchild in Canada, who must reach a certain income threshold; prove that he has taken out medical insurance with a Canadian insurer for at least one year.
-Undergo a medical examination for immigration purposes.

The approval process is similar to the previous visas. The person must: demonstrate ties to their country of origin, economic stability and a formal invitation from your relative.

One point which is not very clear, and that according to Immigration is one of the factors to measure when approving the visa, is when they say "the economic and political stability in the country of origin."

Visitors’ visa-exempt:

Depending on your citizenship, you may need a temporary resident visa to come to visit Canada. If you are exempt from visa, you are nevertheless entitled to the benefits of super visa for parents and grandparents.

How to apply for temporary resident visa:

Follow the following steps carefully:

1: Get an application form for the Super Visa.
2: Study the form carefully and dredge up essential requests.
3: After complete go through make possible mandatory forms available and do not lose any paper for that will halt the major process or even drop.
4: You must include with your application all the required documents:

• A valid travel document to you (e.g. a passport);
• Two recent photographs, passport size, each family member. Make sure these photos meet the requirements ;
• Payment or receipt of payment for processing fees, unless you come from a country whose citizens do not need a visa to enter Canada. We will not refund the cost, even if we do not accept your request;
• Proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your visit to Canada. The amount required may vary depending on the circumstances of your visit, the duration of your stay, and where you live (at the hotel, with friends or relatives, etc.). For more information, contact the Canadian visa office responsible for your country or region;
• Other documents in your situation (identity card, proof of employment, letter of invitation from your relatives or friends in Canada, intended route, etc.).. For more information, visit the visa office responsible for the country or region where you live.

To obtain a visa for parents and great grandparents, you must also submit:

• Proof of your relationship with the citizen or permanent resident of Canada you want to visit as a parent or grandparent (e.g. birth certificate, baptismal certificate or other official document showing your parentage);
• A letter of invitation sent by your child or grandchild, indicating the measures taken to support yourself;
• Evidence that your child or grandchild is not living under the low income cutoff (LICO) ;
• Proof that you purchased from a Canadian insurer private medical insurance valid for at least one year at a time:
• Covers health care, hospitalization and repatriation;
• Provides a minimum coverage of $ 100 000;
• Is valid for each entry in Canada and may be examined by an officer at the port of entry.

When the visa office receives your application, it checks that it is correctly completed and accompanied by all required documents. A visa officer will decide if an interview is necessary. If necessary, you will be informed of the time and place of the interview.

If your application is refused, your passport and documents will be returned with an explanation of the denial of your request. If you had sent fraudulent documents, they will not be returned.

If your application is approved, your passport and documents will be returned with the visa.

The other requirements an applicant must meet for the Super Visa are:

- To pass the medical examination, it is asked to all immigrants.

This point is tricky because you need to measure how demanding are the authorities as to what I identify as “good health "considering that we talk about parents and grandparents, older persons in most cases.

An application for permanent residence will not be accepted if the health status of the applicant:

• Present a risk to public health or safety, or
• May cause an excessive demand on health or social services in Canada.

Note: As for stay under six month no medical examination is required but for further stay it is mandatory.

- Need to buy private health insurance for at least one year: it must be purchased with a Canadian company; it must cover medical care, hospitalization and repatriation, and must have a minimum value of $ 100,000.
- The government says that in some cases the applicant may be called to an interview with an immigration officer. This should not be different from what is done in other processes of sponsorship.

The responsibilities of the person who sponsors

The son or grandson of the Super Visa applicant must meet certain requirements as well, especially economically.

Based on data presented by Immigration Canada, interested in bringing his father or grandfather must have a minimum income of $ 22,229 per year. The figures are adjusted depending on the number of people to sponsor. You can see the detailed chart on the website of CIC.

Cost and waiting times:

The multiple-entry Visa Super has a cost of $ 150, while the single input reaches $ 75. Recall that the Super Visa allows the parent or grandparent to be a maximum of two years in Canada without having to leave.

Processing Time:
For Super Visa according to table is normally 51 months. But for Pakistan is 44 months and for India is even less, 31 months only. More details on the link below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp

The Super Visa is valid for 10 years and must be renewed every two. This process should be made from outside Canada.

Important Point:

You have no compulsion to find the help of a representative to apply for your residence or immigration to Canada. It is your responsibility to decide whether or not you want to use the services of a representative.

Immigration says that waiting times are the same as to process visitor visas. In most cases this means less than a month. The time table for the country is on the website of CIC.

What do you think? Do you think it will be a solution for people who want to reunite with his family or otherwise, will be an instrument full of obstacles?

You can visit the website of Immigration to find all the details and the application forms.

Canada needs biologists, other scientists

Canada, 3rd January: Canada is facing a huge demand for zoologists, biologists, and other categories of scientists.

Foreigners with such skills can apply for Canada immigration under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.

Skills shortage in Canada—Canada is experiencing a huge shortage of skilled foreign workers in a range of sectors. Skilled foreign workers are invited to apply soon for getting the opportunity to work in Canada. Eligibility criteria under Canada Federal Skilled Worker Program is based on the points score as well as their ability to establish themselves in Canada economically.

It was launched in the year 2002 by Canada government and considers foreign worker’s work experience, education and other factors before allowing him entry into Canada.

All foreign workers with requisite skills must have a minimum paid work-experience of one year continuous full-time or an equivalent part-time work experience within the period of last ten years for immigrating to Canada under Canada Federal Skilled Worker program.

In addition, skilled foreign workers must clear official language proficiency test for becoming eligible under Federal Skilled Worker program.

Canada Priority Occupation List—All aspirants wanting to move to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker Program are invited to possess skills mentioned in Priority Occupation List.

The best thing about Canada immigration under the Federal Skilled Worker Program’s Priority Occupation List is that foreign workers do not need to get an offer of sponsorship from Canadian employer.

List of priority occupations currently in great demand in Canada are as below—

• Biologist;

• Geneticist;

• Botanist;

• Zoologist;

• Pharmacologist;

• Marine biologist;

• Toxicologist.

Foreigners wanting to apply under the Federal skilled worker program need to possess a bachelor’s degree in related discipline or biology. And for getting the job of a research scientist in biology, eligibility requirement is a master’s or a doctoral degree either in biology or in related field. Canada has announced to provide Canada permanent residency to a maximum of 57,000 foreign skilled workers under its Federal Skilled Worker program as compared to the annual intake of 47,000 in the year 2011. The decision to increase the annual limit of foreign skilled workers under the Federal Skilled Worker program by the government of Canada is keeping in view the increasing importance of skilled foreign workers to the economy of Canada. Such a move will also help in making Canada globally competitive.

Select the Best Universities in Canada to Study

January 3, 2012: Guide to select the best school or university for education in Canada.

Being an ambitious student, if you have decided to take up study at a good university in Canada, you deserve an acclaim. And with so many individuals having already decided to seek this as their dream educational locale, there is much of insight shared about Canada and how your preferred university or college should be. Here is something that can be your cue-sheet before zeroing down on a promising college or university in Canada.

The better aspect of seeking education in Canada is that close to 10 universities here rank amongst the top 200 universities of the world. Besides, there is a range of school education institutions comprising technical, commercial, IT or management courses and offering a degree level criterion le Canada.

While it is essential that you have a clear perspective of your individual academic goals when choosing a university in Canada, you should certainly look for programs based upon the type of degree they yield. Having decided on whether you want to pursue an associate degree, diploma, certificate or a bachelor’s degree, you must as well know the area of specialization being offered therein. A university in pursuit might look too prospective, but it is good for you only if it precisely has your program, has high standard of faculty and specified amenities required for the course. Especially if you are seeking a diploma or degree in information technology, your IT College must fulfil the specialization aspect.

The next thing you cannot let go when choosing a university or college of your interest in Canada is which languages they allow students to study in. It is also ideal what location does your school or college fall in because if the climatic conditions here are such that you can soon get accustomed to, you may face health issues and thus lose time. If you come from a hot geographical surround and are hoping to join a college in some chilly part of Canada, this point needs extreme consideration. However, you can always gain an edge in terms of cost of living if the college or university of your choice is located in a small or mid-sized town.

Don’t forget to gather some reviews regarding the culture and type of gentry you will mingle with. Look for a college of Canada that is not only study conducive but averagely populated as well. Better if the college includes lodging and boarding facilities; however be open for other alternates such as home-stay, an off-campus arrangement, etc.

Last but not the least, as a prospective student in Canada, you must ideally get feedback from other international students who came to Canada. It is not only that the universities or schools have accreditation, but also the programs being offered here.

Considering various aspects about Canada as an education hub, much gets offered definitely. All in all, pick your options wisely – after all it’s all about your life career and money - honey!

Marriage in Canada while still on Student Visa!

January 3, 2012: Dos and Don'ts to plan your marriage as an immigrant on student visa in Canada.

There is no doubt that you, like many other students, must have entered Canada with a student visa and while you were smoothly sailing towards that desired degree or diploma, you met the love of your life in whom you see a dream life partner. This might be an altogether strange state of affairs for you and if this looks a likely situation in your case, you must know about the proceedings in case of marriage in Canada while you are here on a student visa. Considering this situation, you must know that you will have to seek a marriage visa for the purpose.

It will get easier for you particularly if your student visa is going to expire, but if it is not so, you will have to wait longer for the marriage visa. In either of the cases, the most sought after thing for you should be to gather ample evidence to foretell your meeting with this love prospect and how things proceeded during past two years. You will have to collect every piece of material that suffices your case to that prospective marriage. This comprise of every bit of document such as the first mail correspondence or personal interaction that led to series of dates with him or her, how the intimacy developed, mutual photographs or such snaps that include family members from one or both sides, phone/hotel bills, etc.

Visa formalities about Canada are largely identical to what they are US. For getting your marriage visa application processed in Canada, you must have certificate of a sound financial situation as it is one of the most desired documents for immigration aspirants or those already living in Canada. This is done only to confirm that you are financially capable to manage a living in Canada after marriage and will not be reliant on or would seek any government aid. Other documents in support for marriage visa formalities are proof of your citizenship and a confirmation of you being unmarried.

Just in case, the waiting period before your student visa tenure completes and marriage visa is yet to arrive, the time in between can be well utilized to plan out the marriage necessities. In fact, these too add up to strengthen your case. From finalizing marriage hall to preparing list of invitees and from buying ornaments to deciding a honeymoon destination, you can start pushing things early. However, you cannot finalize the marriage date because this aspect relies upon how the marriage visa formalities go on and the officials at Canada immigration prioritize your marriage visa.

Looking to the overall feel about Canada immigration services and the number of visa applications received every year, it is much evident that many individuals around the globe are desirous for immigration here. If you are already in Canada with a student visa and looking forward to getting married, you can be optimistic for getting a timely marriage visa and then get the wedding bells ring soon after – provided if you qualify!

Canada: 2012 career and corporate forecast envisages a debility

January 4, 2012: For the year 2012 many of economists have predicted a low work advance and commerce speculation but some also hopes steady ness in this regards and strongly endorse obligatory mixtures.

By way of the present corporate picture, if one doubts in Canada about unemployment ratio this year 2012, which has already looked like an odd prospect for the juvenile months in the most feared year in the history of humans, so are the thoughts of Canadians as they show a negative approach towards the New Year job and business progression. Some even predict humorously a storm is coming in the winter paradise, some say this would be Canadian spring in summer season or Jihad while the only reason behind the current analysis which already predicts a decline in career opportunities coupled with insufficient corporate settings.

Besides that yet the first few days of New Year 2012 were a little clean in opportunity and commercial line. However the skeptic approach is in much favor of the latest analysis from economists under the hood which proposed a minimal continuous decline in employment ration. More specifically about twelve thousand to twenty thousand a month would be added to the current 7.4 percent odd ratio. This goes for the staff belonging to tall companies as a general survey of thoughts of several workers in Bank Montreal has given an uneven upshot regarding Profession development in the ongoing year.

Not just that BMO had made a poll previous year and got the odd figure of nearly seventeen parts out the total claiming poor career opportunities for this year which is a sheer decline as compared to the previous big humble of over twenty nine per hundred ratio. Consequently this trend has clichéd a number of firms which had previously a good reputation for providing internees a chance to get train and educate for the fast developing corporate sector of Canada concerning, also the investments in innovative technology and gears.

Odd views are coming as vice president of commercial banking at BMO states that this could food the very uncertainty in the Canadians which is parallel to many of current global stress concerning movements like occupy Wall Street. But yet a number of natives are guessing for a constructive modification in the occupation zone and businesses providing positive opportunities. This was observed in an online survey of over fifteen hundred Canadians with miner complexities under three percent. Although the negative response recorded in September last year was not exposed but the results have some good prospects for the newcomers as they showed nearly over eighty percent corporate proprietors eager to capitalize more and about Thirty nine out of a hundred claimed of making more job opportunities.

But the overall survey has shown rather poor scenario in the previous year’s last month’s relating to profession development. This was reasoned by Mark Shoniker who is the director of commercial banking at BMO and is very painful to see the odds are in relation to the confidence of consumer. Though the previous year start for Canada was a great notion but it failed in the mid of previous year concerning labor market and resulted in shedding over seventy thousand jobs last three months of 2011. Some facts are yet to come for the last month of 2011.

This also concerns about the native and their earrings which were rather slow as compared to early time in 2011 and resulted in sheer drop under three percent owing to another digit to the current inflation. The main reason is that, according to Derek Holt an economist of Scotia Bank, jobs are full and the companies are now seeking to grow more in the upcoming global corporate struggle rather hiring. The result is there; over six hundred thousand jobs are now closed in Canada but for U.S. they are rather very cautious in this manner.

This will add another two percent in the already massive over one million unemployed figure of Canada this year. This is very drastic and will put a lot of firms to move very cautiously. This also corresponds to the very facts regarding the overall financial figures.

We yet have to wait for the imminent two days, as for Friday’s engagement boom and Mondays’ inspection of Bank of Canada. That should reveal the actual statistics. As for the views of some positive minds they still think that employment has to increase and reduce or keep it steady at the current 7.4 percent and boom in labor market should be favored. A prejudicial consensus on the coming days is still out of balance as if the odds are not even then the suffering would be tougher for the new comers and natives too regardless of whatever the global economy shapes.

Super Visa for parents and grandparents comes into force. What do I need to ask?

January 3, 2012: Your parents and grandparents .....

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading it.
