Hello Team,

Could you please clarify who is responsible for writing the Statement of Purpose (SOP) and the Letter of Invitation, and from which perspective they should be written?

Is the SOP typically written by the applicant? And should the Letter of Invitation be written by the individual extending the invitation to visit the country?

and is the cover letter important for canada visitor visa ??

Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, SOP written by applicant and invitation letter from person inviting you. In the SOP, you can highlight your purpose of visit and home ties to support your application. SOP is optional but I would recommend it to make your application stronger. You can find examples from Google.
