Dear All
I applied for Skileld class in 2007 in Islamabad. Now as of latest, my file has been transfered to London. I am in Dubai Since last 2 years. Shall I request them to fast track my application as the applications of UAE residents are being processed within 36-48 months.
Secondly, my wife is a Doctors. and this profession is in high demanding list now a days. So shall i request London office to update my maritial status OR My wife should apply separately on hehalf of her degrees in order to quick immigration procedure?

You can put a new application with your wife as primary applicant (& you as her spouse), no problem.
The new application will definitely move faster then the older one. Do not withdraw your old application & let both run simultaneously (u can do that). Which ever comes to the stage of medical first, then the other can be withdrawn.

The status of applications received at CIO as on 8 Feb. 2011 is:

3111 Specialist Physicians 381
3112 General Practitioners and Family Physicians 447

So you can easily send a new one & would recommend it strongly too.

Thanks Dear!
Your up to dae information is really helping alot.
I have anther option in my mind. I am going to write to CIO London saying that my status has changed and my spouse has medica degree and is also included in highly skills demanding list of CIC.
Lets see if they can fast track my 4 years old applciation on account of my wife's education and skills.

This is becasue if she apply separately, technically at the end both files has to merge
What do u say??? Again expert opinion :)

No..no.. the CHC don't work that way.

Member Yukon has given you THE BEST advice. Follow it if you want it faster. Thousands are waiting out there for years and why CHC London should expedite your application?

You are the PRIMARY APPLICANT in your older application not your wife. Your wife can only get max. 4 points to your application. CIC does NOT CHANGE Primary applicants midway in an Immigration application.

You have to put in a separate application for your wife to leverage her skills. NO OTHER OPTION. Believe me it will be much Faster then yours. Why are you worried about merging of file or not. CIC processes each application separately. You can withdraw yours once your wife's application reaches the medical stage.

As explained by SISH7255, CIC does not work that way. Pls. read the CIC website thoroughly & also the Operational Bulletin OP-6 for more insight to their functioning.
