I just got off the phone with the CIC call center and was told my application has been sent for review by an officer. Has anyone experienced this?
When I asked what exactly it was being reviewed for, she suggested calling back in a week since they didn't have any information. When I asked her how often this happens, she said not to worry and that this happens quite often and doesn't by itself indicate any red flag.
My PR application is through the FSW express entry program. The online portal shows a sep 7th timeline but now it looks like it will be delayed.
Here's what I see on my account page:
Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Background check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there anyone I can contact to get more details? My intent is to be pro active and submit additional documents that could improve my candidacy.
