What are they looking for during background check?

i'm curious to know what they actually look for during background check
because we provide police certificates and fbi or whatever fingerprint
check etc.

What is the procedure?

i mean how do they go about, doing
the background check. Can anyone explain it in simple language?

What are they looking for during background check?
There are several different checks. Criminal check deals with verifying if
person has any criminal record and it is basically covered by police
certificates. Background check mainly verifies education and experience
credentials.

Then there is background/security check which is conducted completely
outside of and independently from Canadian immigration by Canadian
intelligence and security agencies, with and/or without cooperation of
proper authorities in all countries applicant resided since age 18 (for some
nationals since age 16). It looks into applicant's background, activities,
associations, etc. to determine if person was and/or is involved in any
espionage, terrorism, organized crime, radical groups, crimes against
humanity, etc. - how it is done and what is found is classified and CIC only
receives "positive" or "negative" decision.​

They have reviewed our docs before issuing 2nd aor/in processs stage and found them ok/cleared them,that is why they r proceeding.

My query is:

Do they after in process stage telephoincally verify or what else they generally do/do they again review our docs and what is the chance of rejection after in process stage, please, when they already have reviewed our docs, if they r genuine? And what could lead to rejection when our docs r previously checked by them and cleared?

2nd AOR is issued by VO after receiving application from CIC, after 2nd AOR the VO starts back ground checking.

Dear Furrukh, perhaps I couldn't be understood in totality.

Docs are reviewed/checked before issuing 2nd aor. After that/in process stage bg checks are conducted.

Query:

I want to know if during in process stage, docs are again reviewed or only telephonic verification is, if needed, conducted to assess the genuineness of the docs!
