WES Evaluation Query - Certificate or Diplomas (Not Bachelors/Masters degrees)

Has anyone been able to successfully get an evaluation from WES for Certificate of Diploma programs?? Doesn't matter if it was 1 year or 2 years or more.

If yes, Please mention what area of specialization the course was in and the equivalency in Canada.

This is a very tricky issue where none of the evaluating agencies would evaluate anything other than Bachelor's or Master's but CIC clearly states that they do accept certificate programs or other short programs if they are evaluated.

Please post as this will be very helpful to the many applicants in this forum.

I just received a completed evaluation for a certificate last week. It took 2 months to be evaluated from the day they received the transcripts (vs the 1 month it took for my degree to be evaluated).

Certificate: Management Development (1 year program)
Institution: Milpark Business School
Country: South Africa
Equivalent: 1 year certificate at a Canadian College

I already had an ECA for my degree, entered the EE pool and received an ITA before this report was completed by WES (Im not sure but I dont think this would have increased my CRS at all anyway).

Hey Congrats!!

I am sure that it would give you additional points. Its good to know that they evaluated your certificate.

They rejected a music certificate that I had given them citing it wasn't academic even though it was from a prestigious school that offers Bachelors and Masters Degree. I did another 1 year certificate program in Customer service. I'm not sure if they would consider this academic
