Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Hi, i'm new to this forum and seeking for help.

For my PNP application, I received mail from Ottawa CIC on 13th Sep 2013 that my visa is ready and my passport needs to be submitted.
My passports were delivered on 17th Sep 2013.

How long does this take for my passport to be stamped ? What is this tracker you guy's are referring to ?

It seems that they made a lot of same mistakes on initial entry date on the COPRs sent out recently. Hope they realize this problem soon.

Also, hopefully the border officer can amend this. If not, it takes 6 months for CIC to process an amendment. The guide clearly says that original entry date is something they can amend if they made a mistake.

I will check with the border officer to see if it is really required to correct this date or if he is able to do it on his end when I am landing...

I also sent them an email on Monday (when I saw the successful delivery update on canada post) and haven't received a response yet. I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. Maybe after 15 days or so I'll email back.

As some of you would have noticed that we have not received our passports back from the CIC office yet. It has been more than 3 months!

We had sent our passports to CIC for CoPR and visa issuance on June 13 and were received by the Ottawa office on June 18. Canada post record confirmed the receipt. We have written about 7-8 emails to CIC in last 3 months asking for the status but have not heard back. Finally in the beginning of August, we escalated it to our local MP's office but unfortunately even their office has not been able to get us any concrete response. In mean time, we also ordered GCMS notes and found out that CIC can't locate our passports. The notes clearly states though that the PR is approved. The notes also indicate that the passports were received by another branch (?) -- and not by CPP-O -- and there is no indication of where the passports went after that. We then contacted our local MP's office again to find out on next steps and they have promised to escalate it to the immigration minister's office. Not sure on what else we can do.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for us? A helpful advice is appreciated.

its the tracker if you have used canada express post. if you sent it from an international location you cant track when CIC is sending the PP back. Nothing to worry , you can watch the posts here to see the trend of cic current processing dates ( at this point , i would say CIC is processing PP received before 9 Sep 2013)

Hi,
Not sure if anything is moving forward with your case but in my opinion you should:
1. Engage a lawyer.
2. File a police case [based on lawyer's advise]
3. Apply for a New passport.
4. Notify CIC about your case history and this new passport-(they should acknowledge this before you send your passport again)
5. Send your new passport for stamping .

Received our passports today. What a nice surprise)))) now the thing is how to get to the border or may be it is better to use Edmonton International Aeroport.
