Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Hello All,

Even though I am currently in Canada, I sent my passport to the actual address (CPC – Ottawa – PR, 365 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa ON K1A 1L1) instead of PO Box (CPC – Ottawa – PR, PO Box 9780, Ottawa ON K1G 4B9). It mentioned if my mailing address is in USA, then I need to send it to the actual address.

Does anyone in the forum had similar experience? Should I be worried or is it all the same?

My passport was received by the immigration in Quebec on Jan 11, 2016. Permanent Residency application.
The return track number hasn't been activated yet.

Passport delivered Jan 23, 2017

Still waiting for the return passport mail......I checked online processing time, and it says they currently working on the application Jan 20, 2017, BUT I submitted my application on Jan 19, 2017, and haven't seen any final decision updates on my online account. I am very worried because it seems they are working on some later cases and mine is delay...

Any answer or shared experience are appreciated.

Hey, I think you're confusing and worrying yourself unnecessarily... As you mentioned, If CIC working on the application submitted on Jan 20 then your application is submitted (received) only on Jan 23. Always calculate received time, not sent.

You still have time !!!.

Friends, my passport was received by CPC-Ottawa on 26/01... Waiting for approval now... Anybody here on the same date and status pls?

CIC requested for passport - February 3rd 2017
Passport arrived Ottawa - February 9th 2017
Return tracker activated - February 14th 2017
Passport received - February 15th 2017 : ;D

I sent my passport on the 6th of Feb and got delivered in Ottawa on the 7th of Feb
Unfortunately, I was asked to resubmit my photos and sent the new ones on the 13th of Feb
I have not heard back from them since.
Has anyone else faced the same issue?

Hello, Anyone sent the passport to London High Commission? I am just trying to figure out the general time (weeks) taken by London Visa Office to stamp the passport and return to VFS. I am from India and residing in Finland right now. Sent the passport yesterday to London office and little worried as living in third country without passport can be tricky.

Hi Guys!
My tracker got activated.

So if this helps, here is my timeline -

Passport sent on 6th Feb
Reached Ottawa on 7th Feb

Got an email requesting new set of photographs on 10th of Feb (Friday)
Sent the new pics on 13th and it arrived in Ottawa on the 14th

Change in CIC account status - 24th Feb
Tracker Activated 28th Feb
Expected date of delivery - 1st March
