Regarding passport return times:

Did you travel a lot before and after submitting CEC application? Are there a lot of arrival and departure stamps on your passport?

I'm guessing this may have some relation to the passport return times. Lot of travel, especially after application submission, may cause delays in visa stamping - because CIC may need to validate the travel dates in the form against passport stampings. Also, travel to other countries after application submission may need to be scrutinized for security purposes.

This is just my guess. Other views are also welcome ! After all, CIC keeps things random - one can never know what happens out there.

My tracking number activated today. It reached CIC on 26th-Nov. So, it took around 10 days.

Can you kindly tell me below?

1 did you send your passport by xpresspost to po box address with sign on delivery?


2. Did you reply to CPP to their PPR mail saying you had send passports by canadapost ?

3. If you had emailed or write a covering letter, did you mention like none of the family composition changes applicable to you or we no need to tell anything when no changes in family composition questions in PPR email?

I sent my passport,email from CIC, 2 photos with Cover letter mentioning all the above documents by XPress Post to PO Box Address and requested Signature for it.

I sent this XPress post on 23rd Saturday and received CIC on 26th Canadapost tracking updated with Item delivered and signature received.

After that I did not sent any Emails to CIC asking about status or regarding passport delivery.

tracker activated yesterday 5.56pm.. If I stay in Ottawa, when should I expect the delivery? Monday or Tuesday? any idea? Its showing Item porcessed, Ottawa

You should get it on Monday, even if the postman walks all the way from CPP-O to your house ! Lol

Anyways, nice to see most people getting their passports back within 2 weeks. I'm hoping to receive mine before Christmas

wtf ... my tracker activated this morning or yesterday night .. and it says item processed on 6dec2013 at 17.59 ....item still processed on Ottawa whats it is showing.

Any way... I beleive there is no possibility to receive it today.. I hope it will come tomorrow...best wishes to all

Congratulation Rus...My passport was receieved on 13th Nov and not activation.
