I applied in Aug 2009 with my wife and two children. Recently in April 2011, CHC London asked me to submit my updated forms and passports that I sent them in May 2011.

We just came to know that my wife is 1.5 month (approx 8 weeks) pregnant.

Should I inform CHC about this situation and ask them to hold my application till the child brith OR wait till I get the medicals and then inform them to delay the medicals to be done with the new child application? or is ther any other better option? what are pros and cons for either of these approaches.

An expert advise is needed and highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey ! Let me congratulate you first for having a new child . Relax ! Tiere 's nothing to be worried . Spend a beautiful time with your lovely better half . I went through the same puzzling issue but its funny too . Just send an e -mail notifying the fact immediately .thats enough . Let the visa office become tensed with ' preparing an envelop for MR' wishes for your baby .imu

Dear imu,

Thanks for the reply and your wishes.

If I notify CHC immediately, dont you think that it may delay the processing of my case as they will now hold all procesing till I send them the passport of the child, only then they will resume the processing?

On the other hand, if I dont tell them now, and if the medical request comes, if I request them then to delay the medical till the passport of the child is ready then probably I can save some time?

Thanks in advance for you clarification.

yes, it may delay your case processing . in my case they held my case till the baby born although my spouse took the x-ray second time with protective security shield . they held our case till the birth of the child .if you do not inform the visa office , the DMP may find it and your spouse need to take the x-ray which can be dangerous for the growing fetus . It could be your tough choice to hide the information and take the x-ray . i would suggest you to disclose the information to the DMP and he/ she will decide whether to take the x- ray or not . in my case , I took the though decision to go through the x-ray amid her 4 months pregnancy but the VO hold our case despite our medicals completed . it is likely that the VO may think of a different option for you and issue PPR before your baby born . it may help you to land in Canada before your baby birth.

wishes for you.
