Hi All,

Need your advice on my concern:
Applied for Visitors visa online for parents on 15th Feb 2018 in India.
The online status shows, Final Decision: Application is in progress.
The current processing days shows 16. But I haven't heard any thing from the consulate.

Please advice. What next step I can do?

Any one else who applied in March month got delayed like me?

Check if they are doing background check. My timeline is:
Applied for dad's TRV online on March 10, 2018 to attend my convocation in June.
Ghost email 1: March 11,2018
Ghost email 2: March 12,2018 (Review of eligibility started)
Just checked the GC key account few minutes ago, it said updated and the update was: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Any idea why they are doing a background check, how they do this and how long does it take?

Hi if someone can help me here.
My parents got their supervisa stamped in 2015. My father got the multiple entry visa for 3 years (since his passport is expiring in Sep 2018) and my mother got the visa for 10 years. Upon the first entry in March 2016, they both got stamped for 2 years. Rcently my father got his passport renewed, and we applied for their visa extension (father as primary applicant). They just got a 6 month extension, valid until Sep 2018. My question is:

- can my parents apply again for a visa extension in Aug 2018, even though my father's original 3 year super visa is expiring in Sep 2018?
- if not, do they have to go back to india and apply for a fresh super visa again?

Any insights on this would be highly appreciated. Thank you guys!!
