A quick question.... I'm a PR and applying for my mom's visit visa through the new ircc portal.
The portal is not asking for any invitation letter, proof of relationship, or PR card it's asking for her national ID document, passport, and employer letter (from Canada), no more documents were required. Is that normal? I didn't say she will be working ?????

Your spouse is working in Canada in PGWP?
Is there any specific ties you showed in India?
I need some advice because I applied 2 years before twice and got rejected when my wife is under a study permit. So planning to apply again visit visa for me and my 2 kids . But I am working in UAE and my kids are studying in UAE as well.
I am planning to apply from India only since we are getting results in 15 days.
Please can you share your experience?

Did anyone submitted through GC key?

My lawyer applied through GC key around March 16, 2022. still waiting for an update.

Could you please share your timeline for the application applied through old GC Key ?

Paid two way courier charges: Mar 30, 2022
AWB activated next day.
Passport dropped at Blue dart counter: Mar 31, 2022 ( they take 3-4 days for pickup, so dropped at their counter myself instead)
Passport delivered to IRCC Blore: Apr 1, 2022
Passport shipped back: Apr 8, 2022
Passport delivered: Apr 9, 2022

Thanks to this forum that provided useful information from their experiences

Applied for parents visitor visa in IRCC OLD Portal(GCKEY)
Applied : March 3, 2022 (from Hyderabad -INDIA)
Biometrics Request : March 4, 2022
Biometrics Completed : March 10, 2022

No update after that...
