It's day 28 for me.. Last day is two days away .. Requested for change of VO 28 days ago.. Going Insane with worry.. Totally helpless... There's nothing left to do but wait..

I have been silent followers of these forums while I was going through PR process for my spouse and myself.

I believe my experience will help many of you , specially in this particular forum. (I am in Canada and my wife is in India)

CEC Application received by CIC : 5th June 2014
Medical Request : 22nd Jan 2015
Communicated about my Marriage to CIC : 28th Jan 2015 (I got married in Dec 2014)
All documents of Spouse submitted : 7th April 2015
Decision Made and PPR : 7th May 2015
Email to CIC for Visa stamping office change for Spouse : 7th May 2015 (To stamp my Wife's visa in India)
My Wife submitted Passport (with 2 pics and ready for visa email) :18th May 2015 (We didn't get change of visa stamping office email from CIC) (Passport was submitted to VFS Chandigarh)
I submitted my passport to Ottawa by Canada Post : 22nd May 2015
Wife Visa Stamped in New Delhi : 22nd May 2015
Wife Passport with Visa received at home : 28th May 2015
My Own Passport with Visa : Waiting (It usually takes 12-14 days for ottawa office after receiving passport)

Point to note: VFS chandigarh mentioned that if you have already communicated to CIC Ottawa about office change, Then it is fine to submit passport for dependant/Spouse without CIC reply email.

To be on safe side, I submitted by Passport to CIC Ottawa with cover letter mentioning that my Wife has already submitted passport to VFS and hence CIC India with dates. Additionally, I attached copy of email (for visa office change for spouse) for CIC ottawa reference.

Hi,

I have applied for my Canadian PR in May 2014 while i was in India. I recently moved to US. Two days back i have got the request from High Commission Of Canada New Delhi to Submit my Passport for stamping within the next 30 days. As per my understanding its illegal to send the passport out of the country.

- Is it possible to Change the address to an US address at this point?
- Can i get the stamping done at the CIC office in US?

I know may be its a silly question but I want to be sure. I will have to sent a email to CPC-CTDOttawa@cic.gc.ca
requesting them to print my wife's visa out side North America

I want to know what should i include in the email, I will providing the following information :

-Reason for email
-Spouse full name
-Date of Birth
-Current country of residence

Is there anything else I should include?
Should I need to mention anything about me? I will send my passport to Ottawa

If any one can provide with any sample, it would be really helpful...

Hello everyone.... I am in big dilemma. We received passport request 2 days back from CIC. However, I am currently in singapore and family is back in Abu Dhabi. I need to be here for the next 2 months at least. Also as my wife was pregnant we got her medicals done in mid-august but my medicals were done last year in dec when we got the first medical request.

I don't know what to do....as I can't send my passport from singapore for stamping and be her without a passport and I don't want to delay the process as the medical expiry is worrying me.

Is it possible that CIC will ask for another medical at the time of stamping. Also can I get my passport stamped in Singapore while my family does it in Abu Dhabi. Pls advice.

I read that you have submitted your wife's passport without any reply from CIC Ottawa, as I am in the same situation too, my husband is still waiting to submit his passport but I already got my visa and landing, but CIC never replied regarding changes in visa office for my husband.

my question to you is, have you faced any issues while submitting your wife's passport, as you never had any reply from CIC too, what documents did your wife submitted with passport.
