I am an International student from México.
My mother submitted her application to visit me for 2 weeks, I sent an invitation letter, from school and her whole application seems to be fine (we even sent, hotel reservation, and two way air plane tickets in the application).
But she just got a called where they asked her for a letter justifying why she is showing so much money in her bank account.
I have never expected a request like this and I was wondering if someone else here have been in the same situation, and what did you put on that letter?
We are being honest, and that’s money that my mother saved through the years, she is retired but with a good income (we even sent, proof of her salary)
They also request a letter explaining why she didn’t sent her previous passports in the application
She doesn’t have them because when she renewed, the government of México asked her for those passport and they kept them for themselves for some reason.
I think this kind of makes no sense (at least for me)
Have some one ever experienced something like this?
