Visa | CHC Islamabad

Hey peeps,

Got ma visa today, timeline:

25th May, Applied
25th June, Medical
19th August, Visa (Stamped 18th August).

A few observations:

1. I sent them an email they replied with the typical "visa in progress.. no action required by yu..." thing... I emailed after a few days and they didn't reply... that meant my visa was ready.
2. They will declare your application, reject or accept, within 90 days.
3. I didn't have my final degree of B.Eng. in hand... neither was my final semester result out yet... I didn't even have the TOEFL result card. I sent them screenshots of my online result.
4. I applied via Visadropbox/FedEx/Gerry's... I was checking my status via that... but I got the package visa TCS/Visatronix! My personal view is... TCS is CHC's favorite and that TCS is better than FedEX.


But those are just my observations.

Oh and am headed to Concordia University for M.Eng. Fall 2010 and I applied from Peshawar.

checked with tcs ,they replied "nagative"....

Shehrish you should send email to CHC ISB,,,because you are so late,because now a days,,Tickets problem is very critical,,,No seats available,,,,Email immediately,,,ok

You should today,,,,still right now....Then may be Case will be final,I observe,,when friend email they dont reply,,,but Case is final.....i send email,,,after 2 days case final...

Sehrish i wont recomend u to send email.. it wont make ur case go faster..on the other hand it can cause delay.. so just lets wait.. 2..3 days..

tickets are available.. seats too.. 100000s of options..buy from expedia.com.

Guys... Congrats alot to all those who get through the tough and crossed fingured situations and ultimately got their visas....

I am also the one waiting for my Visa from CHC isb.....

Applied on 4th aug..2010
Got med on 10th aug..2010.
passport sent back to visa section on 13th.

can any one else at the same boat with me...

plz share...

Umair, I beg to differ from your opinion. Did the Canadian embassy say it in an official statement that "sending emails will delay your case?" -- the problem is, most of us just believe readily in stuff like that.

IF your visa is still pending, DO send them an email saying that flight conditions are bad and arrangements have to be made in advance etc....it does expedite the process atleast it sped up my process for sure!
