@nole73 wanted to type a PM, my wife is also born in Sarajevo, and I remember asking my friend to get it from there, but I m not sure who issued the paper, in Serbia its police... so not sure will they ask for papers from both country or no... (not sure if she was over 18 when she came to Belgrade) and I agree you really were unlucky with sending your application... all the delays that could happend happend to you... but as I see now people from August, September are even more lucky sponsorship in a month instead of 2 or 3... and what I've learned is that CIC has no pattern, there's no way we can crack the code the way they are working. One thing that occur to my mind is that it might be that you guys over did it, trying to show them that your relationship is geniuine really soon after getting married might look suspicious (but its only my guessing) as I said we provided some of the evidence but not all, and they accepted it, even my military (civil service) wasnt an issue for them, and police certicifate that I also got in end of April or beginning of May and they didnt ask for new one... I m guessing it shouldn't be more than 6 months old when you send papers to CIC, and than if process is taking long than they ask for new one otherwise no

What means of transport can one use from Belgrade to Vienna?
Are there bus lines, Rail from and to!

Good to see there is movement again but im getting a bit depressed because we havnt heard anything!
Its frustating to see people with shorter timelines getting approved. (good for them though)
We send a email asking for a update because we past the 3 months, got a automatic message back we will reply within 28 days. Really?! We are pretty patient but I want to get SOME news..

This was a great morning for us - we received an e-mail requesting my husband's passport !!!!!!!! ;D
They said that he can send it via registered mail, or go in person on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and they say most likely they will issue him a visa by the afternoon - so he will be there on Thursday morning !!!

This was fast, and very unexpected and I'm ecstatic!

It looks like Vienna is making lots of progress, and I hope you all get the great news this week - good luck

I'm going through Vienna also. BUt I recieved a mail yesterday in which they asked for more documents like a statutory declaration for common law union., and some other proof. I hope this is not going to stagnate too much.

Dutchcookies, no, we did not. I totally understand your frustration, we are becoming one of the oldest cases now and it blows my mind that some people get their visa in 70-80 days while we've been waiting for more than 250 days now. I thought our case is really straightforward as we've been together/known each other for years, have lived together before getting married, first marriage, no kids etc but apparently Vienna does not think so.
Don't get me wrong I am happy that people are getting their PRs quickly, I just wish the process was more transparent and fair.

You should try calling them instead. In the AOR from Vienna they say if there is no news from them 3 months after the date of the e-mail, you are required to contact them. So, it can't hurt if you call them as well, because you don't know how long it will take them to reply to the e-mail...

You should try calling them instead. In the AOR from Vienna they say if there is no news from them 3 months after the date of the e-mail, you are required to contact them. So, it can't hurt if you call them as well, because you don't know how long it will take them to reply to the e-mail...

They will reply pretty fast, if you haven't contacted them at all since your AOR. They did for us anyways (after 2-3 days I believe), but we got the generic response of "we are doing background checks". That was over a month ago, and we haven't heard anything back since.

i had same issue , i didnt hear anything from Vienna in a month ,last friday they emailed me aftre i contyacted Mp and they told me that they need from My husband military booklet, thnx god we found that booklet to prove that my husband never been in military .. and lets see how long will take once they having that paper to end the process. we started our process from February 09 and not over yet
