Vacation days out of Canada towards 730 days

hi all,

we got our PR on May 22, 2011 (landing date) but we finally moved to Ontario, canada only on May 15,2014 and need to complete the 730 days so we can maintain the PR.

My question is if i go out of canada for couple weeks for vacation, can i still count that towards the 730 days..particularly since we have established our home here now, we have the OHIP cards etc... but before i book the flight i need to make sure...

No, vacation days are not counted.

No, if you leave the country for vacation your RO days are not counted. Be aware if you DO decide to go on vacation, since you have already apparently maxxed out your available 'out of country' time, you risk being reported with re-entry and potentially loosing your PR. You have to decide if you want to risk it or not.
