Using HSA for Medical Exam

Hello, has anyone

- used their HSA for Medical exam?
- Confirmed with their provider that this is a valid expense?

I searched for this, but looks like some people used HSA but are not sure if it is a valid expense.

I used HSA for medicals. Although done for immigration, since it is a genuine medical expense (not spent on something else), I didn't find any issues in using HSA for this. I used it in 2017, and I am done with tax filing successfully too for 2017. But it cannot be a take as assurance in anyways because IRS would look at the medical bills only if it issues an audit, otherwise they just go by what we say.
