US Citizen/got email request for eCOPR confirmation

So I asked the wrong question before..............


So we just got the letter that I have to respond to with info, then I will receive a 2nd email after with the link to the PR Portal that I confirm my presence in Canada.

So I assume I can send them that info and do my trip and then when I come back log into the PR Portal and submit my confirmation that I am in Canada???
