Me and my wife are awaiting PR decision. I want to go to the states with a friend for the weekend next week? She sponsored me under the live in care giver program.

She is mexican.I am irish. I have a open work permit now. Can I leave canada without her or will I be refused re entry back in

As you have a visa exempt passport and an open work permit, it is highly unlikely that you will be denied entry to Canada.
