I think the interview will be mostly about your relationship.

However, just the fact that you've been working all this time in Canada is a good thing: you have Canadian experience, and if you were to lose this job because of having to travel for the interview, you are still perfectly capable of finding a new one. So if they ask about your wife not working, well, you've been supporting her all this time (good point in favour of the genuineness of your relationship). And as soon as you get your PR, you'll be able to support her again.

ok, thanks andrew-bit!

Hope I can show my current 1 year Canadian experience and let them know that I was most needed at job and only due to the interview I had to take a break and come here!

Like the appreciation emails from the employer.
Would that work?

Yeah, all I see is a risk in withdrawing the current sponsor application and think about the rest of the category whether I am eligible or not!!
So I think we have decided to stick to the interview and prepare for it! :( :(

Good choice!

Now you'd better prepare for the interview. Here's a list of 121 possible interview questions:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/interview-questions-t66270.0.html;msg648097#msg648097

Your interview is on 7 October, so you have about 20 days to prepare. I suggest that before you depart for India, you practise with your wife.....she can pretend to be the interviewer, and you become the interviewee.

Make sure that you always stay consistent with your answers, because immigration officers are known to ask questions (some of which are really silly questions) repeatedly, just to intimidate you and test your consistency.....

Don't panic...

Stay calm...

Show that you're confident...

Try to remember little details (see those sample interview questions), such as your wife's date of birth, her eye colour, what schools she went to, how tall she is, whether or not she likes Spiderman (*kidding*)....bla bla bla...(you know, all the little details that males are known to forget :p)

Good luck!!
