I am Sep 2014 Old CEC applicant, just received an email from CIC asking for NOA (notice of assessment)and T4 for 2014.

My questions are
1. Before 2014, I worked for 23 full and continuous months during 2011 and 2012. I thought my work experience in 2014 had nothing to do with my application. Anyone knows why they are asking for this ?

2. In addition to Notice of Assessment, I also had a Notice of Reassessment for 2014. Should I send one or both?
My 2014 NOC is currently under second reassessing. CRA asked me to provide additional documents in November 2015, unfortunately my tax representive did not inform me in time While I have been in my own country since February 2015 and CRA sent me a notice of reassessment saying I own them 3600 dollars. I called CRA and provided the documents they required but still haven't received response from CRA yet.

I'm an October 2014 applicant. Last June CIC asked for my T4 and NoA for 2012,2013 and 2014. I then realized that my employer screwed me: I signed contract to be employed but I was paid only my gross salary (instead of net salary). I paid my own taxes etc but as self employed. I only realized last June that I wasn't employed by my former boss...

I had to fill a complaint to CRA to be recognized as employed and have my boss pay the EI and CPP for me. Once it worked, my boss gave me my T4 but with no deductions on them (it was a useless piece of paper). Then he gave me new amended T4 with an incorrect amount on them. I had to ask CRA to make the T4 for me. Only had them in August.

Once I finally got my T4 I needed to have my taxes reassessed... It took more than 3 months, and it was fastest than planned (I filled a complaint against their service explaining my situation, it worked as I had my reassessment a week after).

I was supposed to send my T4 and NoA to CIC before the end of August, they received everything in the end of November... Of course I sent them emails explaining my situation, with the contacts do the people I was in touch with regarding my application... Since then I'm waiting, and I'm quite nervous to be honest (even though I'm all good with my taxes now)

When I submitted my application, I already included the NOAs from 2011,2012,and 2013. Just wondered why they are asking for that from 2014.
