Urgent! My credit card transaction is declined!

My application to Sydney CIO at the end of NOV 2014. my total fess is CAD 1100

22 Jan, a merchant called "government service" attempt to charge me credit card of USD$1100. But this credit card transaction was go through the visa line but my credit card is American Express. And my credit card company cannot find the merchant is from Canada . So my credit card blocked. But I suspected it was make by CIO Sydney.

23 Jan, a merchant call "Citizenship, Sydney" attemt to charge me USD 890, which is around CAD 1100. This time the merchant went the American Express line. But my credit card have been locked due to the first transaction.

My credit card have USD 5000 limited recently so limited will be not a problem.

I call my credit card company and ask them to cancel all the blocked and do not declined any transaction , especially from Canada. So the staff in my credit card company to ask the CIC make charge again?

Will CIC make charge again?

How can I contact them?

CIC usually tries 3 times before they give up. So you need to work with your card company to be sure they allow the charge. Good luck.

do you think the first transaction is made by CIC?

I am afraid that CIC will make the third charge as visa!!!!!

​I am afraid that I select the visa card option. But my credit card is Amex, and I input the card number of AMEX.

visa card's number is beginning with 4 while amex card number beginning with 3. I wish CIC could find that.

Hello Friend,

Hope by now your credit could have been already charged successfully by CIC. If not, do not worry. Same thing happened with my friend as well, his card had enough balance but international transaction limit was less so the transaction attempted by CIC was declined. Then we immediately requested bank to clear that international limits.

CIC made 3 attempts and the 3rd attempt after a day's gap from 2nd attempt was successful.
