Does one receive emails notifying about updates such as medical passed, eligibility review completed, background check in progress etc??

Does one receive emails notifying about updates such as medical passed, eligibility review completed, background check in progress etc??

Applicants normally receive email notifications for medicals passed, additional doc request and PPR mail. Very rarely seen any email notifications for Background-check status updates.
